A great place to escape the noise and hustle of the city. You can reach the place with four-wheel drive, two-wheel drive and caravan systems. There are large camping areas suitable for groups, a fire pit is possible, you must bring wood with you, and bathroom facilities are provided with hot showers. There is a barbecue place available, and fishing is also possible. I loved this place. I will definitely return to it again.

Stunning lake with campsites nearby. Great place for fishing. Has some basic amenities.

Also a really good place for stargazing on a clear night.

Fantastic free camp with toilets snd hot showers. Great boat ramp and huge dam surface area to sail on appears to be plenty of fish in the dam. No power which keeps the crowds away.

The Reef Reserve is a picturesque lakeside park that offers a stunning natural landscape with breathtaking views. The park is well-maintained and offers visitors a range of amenities, including picnic areas and scenic walking trails that provide an opportunity to appreciate the natural beauty of the lake. The park is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. I enjoyed the tranquil ambiance of the park and the various bird species sightings that added to the park's natural beauty. The Reef Reserve is an ideal destination for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a relaxing outdoor experience in a serene and tranquil setting with a beautiful lake view.

Great free camping spot. Has 2 drop toilets, shaded picnic tables and right on the lake. We watched the sunset over the lake. There are many camping spots, the ones nearer the toilets are hard gravel ground which are hard to peg into but ones further away are dirt campsites.

Lovely quiet camp . Toilet no showers. Spots near boat ramp for vans , some spots around just have to drive around. We found flat spot up hill for van . Apparently can get very busy . Close to Oberon. Can get water at apex park . Loved it ! Mayfield gardens is a must .

A great freecamp! Lots of places “hidden “ in the bush, some with gorgeous views across the lake. Be a fantastic place if you’re a fisherman- which I’m not.
Will be back for sure!

Great place to have a go at fishing. Kayaks are allowed, so if u you oh have one take it with you. There is also a place to camp and toilets available. A little bit chilly when we visited around 9:30 am. Wonderful views of the dam.

Beautiful relaxing spot over looking the water, pet friendly and nice and tidy. Toilets were clean and the water activities were great. Highly recommend for a quiet get away

Absolutely beautiful. Clean drop toliets, garbage bins, phone reception. Lots of sites to choose from. Well done to local council.

Absolutely beautiful. Great place to camp, fish, paddle around in a canoe or kayak. Access does not require a 4WD, you can have a camp fire, they have long drop toilets.

It’s got to be one of the best free camping spots in NSW. Toilets, fire pits, fishing, even council provided BBQs and rubbish bins as well as sheltered picnic tables. Be warned, in winter it gets COLD (negative degrees Celsius) with windchill blowing off the lake. The tracks are dirt and some are a bit rough but can still be driven in 2WD. The campsites are far enough away from each other that you don’t see or hear other campers (unless they’re total idiots). The boat launch is popular with fishermen. Cell phone reception in the entire site. Will absolutely come back again.
