I don't normally leave reviews, but if it wasn't for the team at Calyn I think I'd be stuck in Emerald still. We pulled in during the middle of our trip with a mechanical issue and the team were quick to promptly and accurately diagnose the root cause of the issue. They were also able to identify a separate issue, and fixed it on the spot and only charged me for the replacement part and not for the labour. I am very appreciative of the team and the high quality of customer service and expertise they demonstrated in rectifying my problem. Thank you again to the team at Calyn for your professionalism! You saved our holiday :)

I want to say a massive thank you to Cawood and Lynette of Calyn Mechanical Emerald. We came to Emerald desperately needed some radiator heating hoses replaced for our 1996 Toyota Coaster. We called around a few businesses and no one could fit us in for a few weeks. We called Calyn Mechanical and they were able to help us within the week. They always try to help travelers whenever they can. They went out of their way to help us get back on the road asap. They tracked down our hoses and had them ordered for us. Cawood did an awesome job fixing our bus and kept us informed throughout the job so there were no nasty surprises. I highly recommend this business. They are good honest down to earth people who really care about providing a quality service. Calyn was very helpful when I had issues with a car I bought down in Brisbane. My car was still under warranty from the dealership and Calyn worked with the dealership to get everything fixed up for me. Calyn even picked up on some recalls for my car. I was kept in the loop along the way. Ultimately I got the impression that they cared about getting the car back to me as quickly as they could and not just about getting paid.

Many thanks to Caywood and Lynette - we blew a turbo in our Ford Ranger coming into Emerald late Friday afternoon, Caywood was able to squeeze us in to complete a diagnostic when the Ford dealership was unable to (their earliest appointment was in 3 weeks).
The new turbo was ordered on Monday and the ute was ready for pick up Wednesday.
Caywood and his wife were lovely and professional to deal with - every cost was upfront.
We arrived safely in Darwin - only a little behind schedule.

Best Mechanic in Emerald. We were stuck in Emerald due to a breakdown and we’re attempting to get it sorted through another auto business who couldn’t fix for several days. I was stuck in Emerald with mechanical issues on my way to the NT and these guys were extremely helpful! Working on my ute turned out to be headache due to it being an old rust bucket, but they kept me updated on any issues to be transparent with the expected cost, and tried their hardest to get me on the road as soon as possible and with the best quality repairs possible, for a fair price. Great friendly people, very accommodating and even followed up the next day with a call to see how I was going. Highly recommend!

Travelling outback on holidays and ended up with a broken strut. We were on a tight schedule but needed it fixed before we could continue. Arrived at the workshop early Saturday morning and we were back on the road in under 2 hours. Professional, extremely helpful and wonderful people who went out of their way to make sure we could continue our holiday. Thx Cawood and Lynette, we REALLY appreciate all you did.

Very professional response when I had problems with our caravans bearings, advice was very informative and at know stage was there any hint of trying to take advantage of us. Would thoroughly recommend Calyn should you need any mechanical repairs while in Emerald and I'm very confident you wouldn't be ripped off!

Most exceptional service in Emerald. Rang 5 other companies in the town and Calyn Mechanical Repairs were the only people who come out to help us - 10mins from the phone call (Christmas Eve). My partner and I had broken down and live 10 hours from Emerald. The ignition barrel locked up so Lynette and Cawood ran around town for us to get another key cut whilst doing another job then returned to us and continued working until we got on the road. Cawood and Lynette were extremely kind to give us their time considering it was after hours on Christmas Eve. We felt very appreciated and highly recommend this kind and humble couple for anybody in town or passing through.

Last day on the road after six months doing the big loop with a caravan, we had dramas with our car. Calyn Mechanical worked on our car all day to get us back on the road. They towed our caravan, lent us a car and worked all day on what would have been their weekend all with a smile. We couldn't recommend them more - 5 stars plus

Got the 50,000 km srvice done on my work ute.
Was the best customer service I have experienced in town. Work was to a very high standard and completed in a timely manner. Cost about the same as the dealers "capped price" service and much better job was done.

Caylin mechanical looked after us very well. He is an extremely knowledgeable mechanic who fixed a few problems with wheel bearings on our caravan and added Morey’s heavy duty oil stabiliser to the packed axle bearings which he advised will keep the bearings running smoother and cooler. They were happy to lend us a vehicle to go for a drive while they worked on the van. We chose to walk because we needed the exercise. Highly recommended. Thanks guys.

Calyn Mechanical were absolutely amazing! We came into mechanical issues on the way to Sydney, and they went above and beyond to make sure we were back on the road as soon as possible.
