Went to Leon’s for the first time since my old VW mechanic closed. These guys are excellent. Michael was very generous with his time talking through everything my ‘77 Kombi Daisy needed, and was conscious of my finances, explaining what needed to be done now and what could wait a few months.

Service was really timely, and they had all the parts at the shop, including a new exhaust (she runs much quieter now)!

Would absolutely recommend Leon’s to anyone with a vintage VW. Thanks again guys - Daisy is running like a charm.

Leon's have built 2 motors for my Porsche 914 track car over a 7 year period which has produced sensational results at hill climbs and circuit sprints. I highly recommend them for engine building, dyna tuning, electrical, brake work and all work relating to VW air-cooled motors and related car work.

I have been using Leon's motors for two years now and I couldn't be happier with the service that they have provided. It is next to impossible to source parts for my car and these guys somehow always manage to find the parts or make them for me. When I have needed my car fixed ASAP they have always done their best to do a quick turn around and when parts took longer than anticipated to arrive they were quick to give me a call and keep me updated. The staff are friendly, passionate about their work, and very good at keeping me informed about exactly what is going on with my car.

They are also very fair and honest. I had an issue with my car that they fixed and then a couple of weeks later I experienced the same issue again. I brought it back to them and they discovered the root of the cause and despite it not being covered under warranty or being their fault they fixed the problem again at no cost. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone!

After a year of attempts & fails by others to fix an idle stalling issue on our beloved T2 Kombi, Leon's fixed it the first time! The engine has been running perfectly for months now!! Leon's have also fixed a number of other issues along the way, including a recent sliding door problem - now also works perfectly. Years of experience and specialist expertise worth paying for, definitely a happy customer.

I have a unique car with a unique Corvair engine. Not only did they service it, they made it run more smoothly and powerful than ever before. Simple advice, always communicated options, and the bill was reasonable. This is now my go-to mechanic.

I have used Leon's Motors at Salisbury for over 20 years for servicing my different VW vehicles but more recently my classic 71 Karmann Ghia.. Recently I took the vehicle to them for a service and asked them to do a full tune up on the motor . I did try to do some adjustments myself but had made it worse. Leon suggested they do a tune up on the Dyno. I know he did spend a lot of time getting it right and I have to say it now runs like a new car- starts at the first turn, idles so slow and smooth it makes me happy , and I can even start off in top gear it has so much torque. It is a 3 speed stick shift a little more complicated than the normal. There is nothing like driving a classic car when everything is working and the motor is just purring. Leon is " Old School " and I trust his workmanship and advice 100%. Thanks Leon's Motors.

I have used Leon's Motors a number of times now for servicing and repairs to a VW van. I've always found their quality of work to be great, and the prices very reasonable. The mechanics really seem to know their stuff.

These guys are excellent - I first took my '62 splitty to them 18mths ago, they got it running perfectly, and it has not missed a beat since. They give practical and honest advice and service, and I highly recommend.
