Whiskey Gully Wines

A perfectly peaceful winter getaway for us. Nice, quiet lovely location. The cottage we stayed in had everything we needed for a relaxing break. The owners were excellent at communicating and very hospitable. We will definitely consider coming back.

Arrived at Whiskey Gully Winery late in the afternoon without a booking on the October long weekend. Had been advised by many tourist spots about the need to book.
My daughter had been here earlier in the day on a wine tour. After her experience she texted and said we should visit as it was great. Our party of 4 were received gracefully even though another group were expected soon. The lady who did our wine tasting experience was very informative and knowledgeable about their products. Our party felt welcomed and enjoyed the tasting so as result purchased some wines - both red and white. Thank you!

Such a beautiful setting for a great winery 🍷. The grounds and the winery evoke the beauty and grandeur of the past. Stepping into the winery you are greeted by furniture and decor of old. The hosts are very knowledgeable and friendly and the wine 🍷 is exceptional. They also have dinning which by the menu will please most.

Wish i could leave10 stars for this superb property. Absolutely the best winery in the Stanthorpe region. Wines are divine, hosts Denice and John are so informative and so wonderful. Just spent 3 nights at the cottage, so cosy, well equipped, very clean, bed is blissful to sleep on. We have visited and stayed here multiple times and never been disappointed.

Meaning to Stop Cafe Forest Hill

Thanks for the relaxing stay. Great chalet's looking out onto the peaceful countryside, kangaroos. Everything we needed was in the comfortable chalet. Loved the wines - we were 3 visitors with completely different palates and there were wines we all liked. Thanks for the break.

Had an absolutely fabulous experience at Whiskey Gully Wines' tasting this afternoon. Service was impeccable and staff absolutely wonderful to interact with, on top of the wine being excellent. Would highly recommend the 2014 Beverly Chardonay and 2016 Black Rod Shiraz.

What a great getaway. Denise & John just know how to get you to slow down, relax and pamper yourself. Accomodation is perfect, it’s a cottage in amongst a working winery that no one can see or here you. If you’re looking to get away and get some fresh air then this is the place.

What a great get-away. Ideal place to unwind. Great wines. Fantastic degustation menu (and a really good singing chef at the end of the meal if you're lucky). Perfect location. I can see us coming back at different times during the year. Thanks - just what we needed.

Thanks to Denice for a really relaxing and enjoyable stay in the Whiskey Gully cottage. It was a private and peaceful setting, and we enjoyed our walk amongst the vines too.

By far our favourite visit of the day. The owners took the time to talk us through their range and growing methods. They even indulged us in talking about the history of the spectacular queenslander that the tasting is set in. Try the 2016 chardonnay if nothing else in the whole area. (Parlimentary blend too)

Whiskey Gully Wines is definitley worth a visit. Very knowledgeable, funny and interesting tasting session. Wines were delicious and the whole experience was very entertaining. Definitley add this one to your list to visit.

Beautiful degustation dinner and matched wines. John has a lovely sense of humour. He's a great host, guitar player and singer too!

A great experience returning to stay after a few years, we would recommend the 3 course dinner, cooked by Denice, the food is high quality restaurant level, and the wine is also excellent!

Brilliant host, very informative and friendly. Had a great meal and beautiful wines. John also entertained us with some great music after our meal.

John was a real character and made the tasting fun. He is also a talented guitarist and singer. A great way to finish the wine tasting.

While they were running out of their wines, what they still had was excellent and John (the winemaker) was a fantastic host!

This place is amazing, the food the wine, the atmosphere, the hospitality and ofcourse the entertainment. Can't speak highly enough of this wonderful experience

We had some great wine and are thinking about coming back for dinner sometime :)
