Dr Lewis is a breath of fresh air and a fantastic individual who also happens to be a brilliant neurosurgeon!
Eternally grateful for his knowledge and skill, his kindness and patience with me as a patient.
I had seen three other specialists regarding my vestibular Schwannoma, that left me feeling hopeless, clueless, and having no say in the treatment of my benign brain tumour.
I knew from the moment Dr Lewis shook my hand as I entered his office he was GOOD different.
He took all the time needed to walk me thru my scans, explaining how he measures the tumour etc. Answered every single question and validated all my concerns (THANK YOU).
He then asked how I would like to proceed and walked me thru all aspects of that.
Quality individual and knows his profession like the back of his hand.
My life is richer because of his sweet skills and kindness.

Dr Lewis changed my life. I suffered from chronic back pain for years and any treatment from others was only temporary, until I underwent surgery with Dr Lewis. I now have a quality of life I never thought I would have. He took me on as an emergency case and after the operation I had instant pain relief. I cannot sing his praises enough. People who head east to find an internationally trained and recognised neurosurgeon need to know Dr Lewis is in our backyard and has amazing credentials.

Surgery of any kind makes one nervous, but brain surgery made me even more nervous. I was referred to Dr Lewis by my GP, so that was the first step in confidence, and I have to say, I am grateful that he (my GP) did.
Dr Lewis, was brilliant, he told the truth from the moment we met and he explained everything including the pros and cons, and that provided me more confidence. Dr Lewis also ensured he was surrounded by a great medical team and that was evident as I entered the theater room , and again I knew I was in great hands for the two surgery's I had under this brilliant doctor.

Had severe pain and hunted everywhere for a surgeon, no one would see me for at least 1 month. Professor Lewis saw me within a couple of days, and was the first doctor that believed me the level of pain. I had a prolapsed disc. 1 week later he has operated and pain free at last. Can not say how thankful I am, not only that he fixed it, but how he listened and understood, and provided remedies and actions straight away.

I was fortunate enough to have Dr Lewis remove a large brain tumour for me last month. Due to the nature of the tumour and the location, there could have been a number of short/long term complications, but thankfully Dr Lewis was very patient and very skillful in his approach, and the surgery couldn't have gone any better. Dr Lewis was friendly, confident and understanding, who took the time to check in every day whilst I was in recovery. I'm very very grateful I decided to go with Dr Lewis, as my recovery has been very prompt and my hearing has returned after being deaf (single sided) for a year. I had a C4,C5, C6 fusion and artificial disc replacement. From the second I came round from the anaesthetic, my life began again. I was in almost suicidal pain pre-op, and after surgery, my pain levels dropped to zero. Dr Lewis is amazing! He took time to diagnose, was supremely confident in what needed to be done, and made me feel very comfortable with what needed to be done. I was operated on at 6pm, and walked out of hospital at 9am the next morning. 3 weeks to the day later, I was skiing!! My throat scar is almost invisible and I had minimal discomfort post op. (A little difficulty swallowing as you'd expect). But nothing else to mention.
Dr Lewis is a funny, engaging, supremely knowledgeable consultant - definitely one of a kind. I have recommended him to several friends with spinal problems. I cannot thank him enough, and owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to his fantastic work.

From the moment I walked into the surgery I was greeted with a smiling face at the reception. My appointment with Dr Lewis was for a minor event but I was still very nervous about the result. Dr Lewis immediately made me feel at ease and took me through all the results thoroughly. He has a nice manner about him and I would definitely recommend him.

My husband needed an urgent appointment due to upcoming surgery for another problem and we got an appointment the very next day. From there out experience got even better. Dr Lewis advised us the surgery needed to go ahead and explained my husband's neck problem in detail that we could understand and that he would need surgery once he recovered from the first operation. We were very anxious before we saw Dr Lewis but he made us feel so comfortable and confident in his diagnosis that we left his office feeling such a sense of relief. He arranged the surgery as soon as my husband recoverers so we did not have to go back for another appointment. Such a pleasure to visit a surgeon that really cared about his patient and not the $$$$. His secretary also very easy and pleasant to deal with which makes the overall experience very comforting. Would highly recommend Dr Lewis to anyone that needs his services.

From the minute I walked into the rooms of Dr.Lewis I was made to feel 100% at ease. I presented with a bulging disc at C6/7 with excruciating pain radiating down my left arm. It had been ongoing for 4 weeks and I was nearly at the point of breaking!! Dr Lewis presented the facts to me and explained everything in layman terms! He recommended surgery to remove the disc and replace it with a titanium disc. He did however give me a non-surgical option of managing it with pain relief. After weighing it up I decided that surgery was the better option for me. Three days later I was booked into Hollywood Hospital for the surgery. I distinctly remember opening my eyes post op in recovery and although I was groggy from the anesthetic I felt absolutely no pain in my left arm or neck and I remain pain free up until this day (5 weeks later).
Dr Lewis is approachable, caring, processional, unbelievably knowledgeable and he has a great sense of humour and I cannot recommend him enough! Thank you for everything!

I recently met with Dr Stephen Lewis following medical reports that advised what I was feeling was going to be quite a big procedure.

It was a very human experience in which it was dealt with efficiently and without delay. This was a better process for me to return to a pain free daily life where I only have to deal with the rehabilitation. I was fortunate in the whole scheme of disc degeneration in two levels at the top of the spine, 5/6 and 6/7.

Why was I fortunate:
The procedure Stephen Lewis provided was amazing work.
My friends and family cannot believe what was involved.
Here I am over the process and back to daily life, a month later - brilliant!

My Health fund could not believe the costing I provided prior to the procedure. I only had to pay the excess to the Doctors surgery, all costs for the procedure and hospital were managed. It was amazing care within the hospital. I was sent a small invoice from the pharmacy for what I needed when I returned home.
- for the level of medical experience as the Health fund advisor mentioned you go not get this level of care without additional cost to the client especially in this day and age.

I never provide feedback with 100% satisfaction especially prior to a complete result - 1st time.

Dr Stephen Lewis is an extremely qualified and capable surgeon
with a positive and caring manner.
I was referred to Dr Lewis by my GP, who at all times refers me to
the very best specialists in their field.
Dr Lewis performed a Spinal Fusion on me, in May 2017.
He has 100% cured the pain and lessened mobility that I was
experiencing from Spondylolisthesis.
Now, only 1 month after the operation, I have extremely good
movement and my incision site is healing very well.
I could not be happier with the outcome of my operation, or in

Thank you Dr Lewis, you have made such a difference to my life. 3 days ago I had a disc replacement and I can already tell the difference and have no pain and no pins and needles. I can move my neck in ways that it would never go before. In 2019 you fused my lower back which went from a pain level of 10 to 100% no pain. You are an incredible surgeon and a really nice person to deal with. I can't highly recommend you enough to people.

What a pleasant experience from start to finish! Lovely reception staff who did everything that they said they would do, and treated everyone with respect - even letting us know how the schedule was going in relation to our appointment time. So nice to get such brilliant customer service from the medical profession! Dr Lewis was very down to earth, explaining everything really well and gave me a lot of confidence in our decisions. I was confident with Dr Stephen Lewis skills and expertise. He is smiley and you will feel comfortable with him. He is very empathizing and the choice of words he uses during discussion with his patients are very consoling. Most importantly, he gives you back your life. I have read about many patients in overseas with different doctors whom have memory loss, mild stroke and need assistance with daily living after going for the same surgery as me. It took me only 2 weeks after surgery with Dr Stephen Lewis to get back on my feet and be myself again. No side effects at all. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Lewis after he accepted doing corrective spine surgery on me after 2 failed attempts by my first surgeon As explained to me Dr Lewis does not prefer attempting surgery on someone elses patients. After looking at my scans i am so grateful he wanted to help me. My first 2 operations were done within 2 months and they did nothing to fix pain and i was bedridden for up to 2 weeks with great pain. Dr Lewis did corrective surgery on the Wednesday and Thursday morning i was able to get out of bed pain free and walk up steps I was discharged saturday morning and i am sincere when i say i dont feel like ive had surgery as i have no pain in back I am so grateful to Dr Lewis.
