This was a really good meal and ambiance. We ordered the steak sandwich, calamari salad and rocket salad. All superb. The only reason I gave 4 stars for service instead of 5 was because once the meals were served no one came over after 5 minutes to check our meals were all ok. I sort of expect that at a restaurant that is definitely upmarket. Subsequently one of my group waited until the staff were clearing away the plates to ask for some tomato sauce to go with their fries.

This place really knows how to use herbs and spices. Each of our dishes were beautifully balanced. Everyone walked away saying they loved the tastiness of their meal. Most of us got the burger or steak sandwich, simple meals but the spices elevated them. The place was clean, and tidy, with a very elegant atmosphere. It was warm and inviting and you could chat and hear each other without an issue.

Amazing food! The serving sizes are definitely worth the price. Service was great with kind and attentive staff. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Highly recommend for those who want great service, food and want to land into a food coma afterwards :)

We popped in on Mother's Day ordering sauteed creamy scallops and kid's chicken shish. Creamy scallops were really good; chicken shish was very well made with juicy chicken and quality chips but was way way too spicy for kids.
Even my wife who loves spicy found it too hot.
Leaving five stars because it was a good meal but I hope they will indicate in the menu that this is a spicy dish (especially it being a kids meal)

5 stars well deserved. Atmosphere, food, staff were friendly and extremely polite attentive to everything. Price was fair. A wonderful experience you would not expect from a country town.

Well done guys beats all the fancy expensive restaurants Melbourne has on offer.

Absolutely the best steak in all of Victoria. Genuinely the most authentic Turkish food you can get your hands on in Vic. Worth the drive from Melbourne. A venue with the most attentive chef and staff !!

I must begin by highlighting the exquisite heritage-listed site that houses Babil Oddfellows, enhancing the overall atmosphere with its timeless beauty.

The staff exhibited unparalleled politeness and attentiveness, always ready to assist with any queries about the food. Whether it was promptly replenishing our water jug or serving each dish with a genuine smile, their hospitality made our time truly warm and welcoming.

Now, let's talk about the culinary delights: from an array of homemade dips to the incredibly flavorful saganaki cheese and an unforgettable Turkish spring roll, every dish left an indelible impression. For our mains, the solo mixed grill (kofta and lamb cutlets) and perfectly cooked beef ribs showcased tenderness and culinary expertise. The scotch fillet, cooked to medium perfection, delighted my partner, and the potato gratin side was a shared favorite.

To conclude our feast, we indulged in the heavenly knafeh, an Arabic sweet that left us yearning for more.

After savoring each bite, I sought out the chef, who, as it turned out, was also the owner—Serdar. Complimenting him on the exceptional flavors, I was thrilled to witness the pride he takes in his food, evident in every plate served.

In summary, the impeccable service and divine culinary offerings at Babil Oddfellows earned a well-deserved 10/10. We're eagerly anticipating our return. Thank you for curating such a remarkable dining experience.

The food and service here was simply amazing had the mix grill platter for 2 the lamb and chicken was cooked and seasoned to perfection

My goodness man. We did the takeaway meals tonight , scotch / rib / lamb cutlets / lemon cake / berry cake. Fantastic Way to enjoy an amazing meal. Mrs was taken away by the beef rib. Loved the scotch and cutlets. Would we buy this again ? = Yes without any hesitation. Thankyou Team for making our night. A1+

Absolutely outstanding . Worth the drive from Geelong . Food was Devine . Flavour and choice was perfect ( menu has an amazing selection .) service was fautless from the time we walked in. And looked after the entire time . Explaining the extensive food menu to wine and drink selection . One of the best restaurants we have been to .. could not fault ..
this is our new favourite and will making the drive more often . .
The owner and head chef even puts a personal fair to the restaurant and talking to his customers during and after dinning .

I went here many times, it is the best restaurant in Colac. Food is delicious and the staff is super!!!

It was possibly one of the weirdest experiences in terms of service that we've had, wait staff were hesitant when delivering our food to the table and the bar staff ran out of ingredients for some of the cocktails we ordered. Instead of letting us know and asking if we'd like to change our cocktail order, they simply made their own mixture of something and delivered it to us advising as such. Tbf the drink was nice but just an odd way to approach that situation.

In saying all this the food was phenomenal and I would highly recommend this place for the food alone. Cudos to the Chefs!

It definitely will not be my last time dining here.

The scotch fillet steak was good quality & generous size....it was succulent, juicy, tasty, delicious, tender & cooked beautifully with a lovely char as well.

The scotch fillet steak was definitely up there with some of the best steaks I've ever had the pleasure of eating (I've eaten truckloads of scotch fillet & rib eye steaks throughout the years).

The dauphinoise potatoes were deliciously scrumptious & I seriously could have easily eaten at least twice as much of them.

The staff were very friendly, approachable, helpful & professional.

I was extremely impressed by the additional efforts & personal touches of the owner (Serdar) who put some lovely red roses & a candle on our table for our celebration.

Serdar also personally came to our table & wished us a happy celebration.

Thank you very much for making our celebration extra special & memorable.

The whole atmosphere & experience was extremely enjoyable.

If you like a good quality delicious char grilled steak then I would definitely suggest giving Babil a try.

Best Turkish restaurant in Victoria!

This place is beyond amazing. $50 for a 700 gram ribeye steak. Not only that, it was the juiciest meat I've had in a very long time.
Don't miss out on this place.

We have travelled a couple of times 1.5 hours drives to Colac from Melbourne just for dinner. Well worth it. Always an enjoyable experience and AAA+ quality and fine dinning.

We ordered various menus , all was very good & delicious ! The owner looks very psssionate & friendly , we got free turkish delight & snacks for kids ! Near to 12 appostals great ocean beach ! Clean place & fast service 👌🏻
