Happy Hippo Childcare Lovely Banks

My daughter has overtaken my profile! My son has been attending for the last 6 months, management and staff have always been very supportive. The lady’s in his room are wonderful and do so many engaging and creative activities every week.
I have worked in childcare for the past 6 years and would advise to just listen to how you feel, not every centre is suited to everyone. The industry is in a pretty bad state at the moment and everyone is doing the best they can!

We have been here almost 2 weeks now and we are loving it. The educators are amazing as are all the stuff there. Thank you so much for everything. Tracy S

We've been with Happy Hippos since they opened here in January 2018 and have always been happy with the quality of care and facilities at the centre The educators are wonderful and so kind and caring with my two little ones. Amanda is terrific at communicating information to parents and the updates about what has been happening during the week are great!

The best daycare ever.
Experienced and friendly staff, they know very well how to deal with everyone.

This centre is amazing! The educators are passionate, nurturing and patient. The yards and rooms are spacious, clean and full of quality, educational experiences. Highly recommended!

Really like it when l pick my granbaby up his always happy and tells me his done lots of stuff. good job ladys just one thing you need to have hand sanitizer at all doors

My family and I have been with happy hippo since it first opened, my daughter was there until she started school and now my son is there. Although I have experienced a few issues over the years overall I have been happy with happy hippo - when any concerns are raised they are dealt with there and then.

Current management, Shihani goes above and beyond for the families. Staff are always friendly and greeting me as I enter!

I've recently started my 8mo son at Happy Hippo on a casual basis. It has such a lovely community feel. The staff are caring and friendly, and I instantly feel relaxed by their demeanour when leaving my baby there.

My daughter attended this daycare centre, when I would pick her up her eyes where red and puffy from crying all day long she was extremely upset and obviously left crying all day long.
I knew there was something wrong when she was screaming really traumatically when I would leave her. Not just a normal cry when you leave them usually..
I tool her out and put her in a new centre and it took her 1 day to settle on! The staff seem really unorganised and rude. They don't even say hello when you are dropping off or picking up. Even my daughter could obviously sense it was a unfriendly environment.I would sense if you get a bad feeling to run with it and know something is up!
My daughter is so happy at her new daycare and smiling and laughing when I pick her up. Very doffrent to when I would collect her from happy hippo.

Such a horrible centre. When my son attended the child care, i picked him up on multiple occasions and he had grazes and bruises on his face with no explanation to why and how he got them, and no incident report. EVERYTIME I walked into the centre, He was always left unattended and unsupervised. He was even left in the same nappy for 12 hours. By the end, my son didn’t even want to walk into the room and attend child care.

Such a horrible place! DO NOT take your children there. On numerous occasions my child was left alone inside while everyone was outside. So many injuries unaccounted for. Horrible owner and management. They don't even sign in the children, and if something were to happen there is no record of my child being in their care.
Awful experience, never again.

Director at the service has limited people skills. Avoids parents instead of speaking to them when they are having issues. Very disappointing to not be able to work through any issues and problems go on for weeks.

This centre was ‘sold’ to me as a place that provides excellent care and service to children and parents. Sadly this isn’t the case. Parents aren’t respected by the director and staff don’t seem to have any respect from the director either. Staff do a great job of looking after the children and taking care of their every need, however do not seem happy in their positions within this centre. Disheartening to see that this centre is already having trouble with high turnover of staff in its short few months of being open. Sadly I am left to look for another centre who can meet both my needs as a parent and my child’s needs whilst in their care. #unhappyhippo

The educators are amazing (especially Rose and Tania). However, the second the Director goes on leave, all hell breaks loose. Emails go unanswered and billing goes to hell in a handcart. We were overcharged very substantially in May and head office had to step in and fix it. We reluctantly gave them a second chance, only to have yet more overcharge billing issues last week. In response to voicing our concerns, the assistant director sent me a VERY unprofessional and condescending email. We escalated it to head office AGAIN and for the second time in two months, they’ve had to apologise. We won’t be giving them a third chance.

Management is very poor and needs training on dealing with parents and responding to emails and queries from parents/customers staff have been very good and would recommend them for there service but management need to looking in to training on how to deal with incedents not ask the parent if we would like Anna to record the incident. Also took over a week to get back to us about leave we requested over a month prior to us haveing Holliday’s coming up and will need to know if they can reserve a spot for our little one when returning and Anna (manager) there said there is no gaurantees of holding the spot for us although they are only at about 15 kids max a day with a venue that could hold possibly 60-80 kids love to know the reason why but we will be taking him to our old one due to they are happy to hold a spot for our son.

If I could give no stars I would!!staff don't look happy or enthusiastic took my boy here yesterday turned up to pick him up he was so upset and left sitting at a table by himself and it being his first day you would think they would spend a bit more time with him to comfort him.The young under experienced staff is no good will be pulling him out today and going to complain!!!Don't send your kids here!!!
