Chermside Library

A really great modern library, right in the heart of Chermside. It has access to all sorts of facilities Including a children's section, reference books, meeting rooms, quiet spaces and even a cafe! Would highly recommend the second biggest library in Brisbane, with its accessibility and reading selection.

This library offers something for everyone. Amazing activities for kids. Great work/study areas with lots of power points and comfortable seats. The little cafeteria makes it perfect!

Best place to spend time whether you are alone or with young children or babies, there is something for every age. Also all the facilities such as parents room, drinking water fountains, cafe are inside the library so you don't have to go anywhere. Also for whatever you need Library staff is there to help you. Overall.. best place to visit.

Great make over and perfect little inside coffee shop.
The food and service was excellent at the library. The new look provides disability access for facilities. They have weekly courses available for the public.

This is a big library having great collection of paperback and digital version of books. It has great kids section, comfy sofas, computers, quiet rooms, big parking and very friendly staff.

One of the best Brisbane City Council libraries! Great kids section and lots of reading tables, plus a coffee shop near the entrance. The librarians were very helpful and we really enjoyed their school holiday program!

Love Chermside Library frequent here to study regularly well layed out great friendly staff also has great little Cafe on the premises as well and the ladys there are friendly and do an amazing job 10/10 for chermside Library ☺👍

A good cafe with friendly staff, a good range of fiction and non fiction books and areas for both young kids and adolescent s.

Awesome, spacious, well-equipped library, offering multiple, interactive Rhymetime sessions for babies and toddlers.

To me the Chermside library is a delight. It is stocked with a marvellous range of books, and any not on the shelves, are often available to be put on hold, from any of the other municipal libraries. It's as simple as searching the catalogue (on computer) and putting a hold on the required book, which is delivered poste haste to Chermside. The efficient staff at Chermside email and voila, you pick up your book. Magic! They even have a great coffee shop and fascinating things for kids to do. Go for a visit. You'll love it.

Very happy with the service and staff. Quiet rooms need big screens with laptop connection ports so you can connect your laptop though.

An absolute gem of a public library. Excellently laid out with well developed areas for reading, study/work, and small kids. There's a range of activities and props in the designated kids area, which makes the visit entertaining for all ages. The cafe inside is a handy addition, so a cup of coffee or snack isn't too far off. The library is often open late (until 8pm), and has clean toilets and amenities.

Huge library and full of great and different varieties of books. I just did a reseach so i visited this place and I like it also the design.

Very nice library, staff are very helpful. Have café onsite so we don't have to go out during lunch . Cool drinking water available.

Comfortable sitting chairs, seen new books on self help. A pleasure to spend time to read or work on your project.

I tried out the digitising station today for the first time. Lucy helped me over the phone to book an appointment and then patiently showed me a few tips to get the process started. The library had a whole printed/laminated instruction sheet that was very easy to follow and the children's area was engaging for my son while we waited for the videos to record. Cannot rate this service and library highly enough. Definitely go and give it a try if you have old videos you want to bring back to life. Thank you!

Helpful very good selection of children's books and computer games . Opens frequently which the New Farm library doesn't. The cafe serves good food although a bit expensive - city prices perhaps. Interesting Lego displays and clean toilets. Definitely our library of choice in Brisbane!

One of the best libraries I’ve ever seen in Australia, beautiful designs, relaxing spaces to focus on reading or studying, lots of options of quiet rooms. I love spending time here!
