Mercure Townsville

We stayed this weekend for our wedding. Madison the wedding coordinator has been fantastic in answering all my questions, the set up was absolutely beautiful. They were able to accommodate me for a “if it rains” plan and a “no rain” plan. They kept communication well, extremely accomodating to my plans and vision. Food was amazing and bar staff were fantastic.

We had 2 cabins, the cabins are kept incredibly clean and they are lovely. All staff encountered were amazing.

Hotel is in an excellent location, the facilities are excellent, the beds are comfy with a large selection of pillows.
The check in experience was underwhelming, thankfully the staff at check out were much nicer and friendlier.
There was a wedding on at the venue and whilst we were using the pool we went to get a drink from the bar at the same time the wedding guests came out of the reception and with only 2 staff on at the bar we lined up for 25 minutes for a drink which was unacceptable.

We had a one night stay on the way from Canberra to Cairns, travelling with our teen boys.

The Mercure was like an oasis. From the get-go the staff were all amazing. We ate at the restaurant - very nice lunch menu.

The grounds are immaculate, just what you are hoping for in the Tropical North.

Highly recommend.

Check was great as usual, the new bungalows were great, clean tidy, with everything required for an extended stay. Great size for a family of three. Being new everything worked and the staff were very responsive to any requests. Only suggestion is carports should be erected next to the bungalows to protect the vehicles. Having EV charging point was appreciated

My friends and I had THE best Christmas Day and overnight stay at the Mercure yesterday. The food was amazing and abundant. The atmosphere was incredible, Santa as AWESOME and very friendly; stopped for a long chat. Even though there were already plenty of Vegan options in the selection, they went to a special effort of making my friend an extra special Vegetable Frittata and Vegan plum pudding, that was such a special touch. Special shout out to Siobhan the fantastic waitress, and another who had an unusual name starting with "A", that I cannot recall. THEY BOTH WERE TRULY AMAZING, EFFICIENT AND VERY AMICABLE. We all agree that we will be back next year for some of the same.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was awesome and pool facilities are spot on.
Room service was prompt and meals served as expected.
Loved my stay, look forward to staying again.
May even organise for my Daughter and my new son-in-law to stay there for their honeymoon.

Was a great experience overall. Not many complaints that I could think of, staff are extremely friendly.

Biggest concerns I had was the shower head that constantly caused flooding in the bathroom as it could not be pointed down enough that it didnt aim directly at the gap in the glass.

Food from the restaurant was amazing however the pizzas could have the bases made a little thicker as they were hard to eat with the minimal thickness causing the dough to go soggy

Lovely friendly staff. Delicious restaurant and beautiful pool that was clean and tidy always.
We were upgraded to a bungalow which was a lovely surprise. The bungalows are new, clean and comfortable.
Service staff were friendly and helpful.
We will definitely stay here again with the family.

Outstanding customer service for the young waitress named Siobhan.

Went above and beyond what I was expecting, even the little things of remembering my name and drink order (from my last stay a week before this visit).
And the feeling you get when be seated as though your sitting down with friends and family at the dinner table.

Just superb, Siobhan needs employee of the month (month after month).

Great place for work, holiday or family get away.
I come here personally for work and the staff are wonderful, great little restaurant/cafe. Room service and a nice pool that is well maintained.

Great hotel, if you're lucky to get a renovated room, they are excellent. Location is good but does require transport to get to the city and access restaurants.

Had an amazing time staying at your hotel while visiting family. We made great use of the amazing pool and the buffet breakfast was wonderful. Staff at breakfast and lunch were very accomodating and showed great service. Would recommend and look forward to staying again

Even before I arrived I was impressed by the service I received. The team are great, so helpful and welcoming. The bungalow was brilliant - it had everything (and more) that I needed. Loved the location and grounds. Will absolutely be back, can't thank the Mercure team enough.

I booked the hotel for a technical training function, the room was great, set up as we asked, our guests commented that the catered food was excellent. Great day had by all.

Rooms are a bit dated for a Mercure but bed was comfy, shower was good.

Buffet breakfast was really good and perfect location for work.

Relaxing night away for a middle aged married couple. Delux cabin room was new, spacious, very well appointed with all modern facilities.
Dinner in the restaurant was first class with the reservation team being very accomodating.
We would highly recommend staying in the 2 bedroom deluxe cabins.

We stay quite often at the Mecure Townsville. The front desk staff are always friendly and accommodating. Staff in the restaurant are the same, you couldn't get a more helpful crew. Food has always been tasty. We have been upgraded on a couple of occasions, which we are extremely grateful for. The rooms are in need of a renovation, but, we can see works are happening. If there was something in need of attention with the room, we have spoken with front desk and they have had maintenance attend to it immediately. You can see every effort is being made to improve the hotels accommodation. We are Accor members, hence choosing Mecure. Overall, we highly recommend staying here! Adriena 😊

I wanted to particularly thank Chanelle. What an amazing young lady you have there. Nothing was too much trouble, everything done extremely efficiently and exactly the way we asked. And all done with professionalism, great customer service and a beautiful smile. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you.
