Southern Cross Motor Inn

This motel IS the place to stay while in Narrabri.
We have stayed in many places but this spot ticks all boxes for being affordable, friendly, comfy and most importantly, has an epic shower. If anyone says otherwise, perhaps it’s a fake account.

We booked two separate rooms and our stay was great. We were both so happy. It was a business visit and we cannot be more pleased.

Firstly, easy parking out front. No street parking.

Checkin was easy. We booked and turned up very early and we were accommodated. We had driven quite a while and forgot of the time but we were helped into our rooms with ease.

Rooms are beyond spacious, bathrooms are as big and the shower, WOW.. we finally had a great shower. The water pressure was strong and you feel so clean.

Beds are very comfy. TV has all channels you need and there are even lounges so you aren’t always laying in the bed.

Air conditioning is crisp and cool. Staying in the height of summer means you really need it to be cold and cold it was.

Location is across from the Narrabri RSL which means you can duck over for a meal and cheeky drink.

There is also a pool but it was way too hot for us to partake at 38 degrees outside so we wanted to but didn’t.

Staff are so nice and informative. We needed a bit of info and they had it all ready.

We will stay here again when we are back soon.

When you need to work away from home and feel comfortable, this is your spot.

We stayed for 3 nights and the room was very spacious and clean. Bathroom large enough to hold a party and plenty of soap, shampoo etc. Tables and chairs outside each room was great for breakfast or having a coffee. RSL across the road a bonus. My only issue was the bed, woke up every morning with a sore back.
We will return

We would highly recommend this motel, spotlessly clean, comfortable, great location, parking on site, quiet, friendly and accommodating manager, would definitely recommend and stay again.

The Southern Cross Motor Inn is located at 24 Maitland Street, Narrabri, NSW, 2390.

Ideally located within easy walking distance to the main shopping precinct in Narrabri & just across the road from Club Narrabri RSL, I found this place to be very comfortable during our overnight stay 😀

The management of the Southern Cross Motor Inn is the most efficient & welcoming people we came across during our travels on our journey back from Victoria. 🙏

The room we had I would rate as 5 🌟, every home comfort was available , plenty of room, large bathroom, walk-in shower & great television monitoring facilities with plenty of options.
The bed itself was most comfortable, & I enjoyed a great night's sleep 😴

There is a self-service laundry room on-site, a great BBQ & enclosed off swimming pool for guests to relax & enjoy 😉

Under cover parking is available with disabled parking within close proximity to your room, with all accommodation on the ground floor level.

With Club Narrabri being so close by & also providing great food in the "Outback Shack" & excellent customer service 👌 our stay in Narrabri was most enjoyable 👌.

Rooms are larger than usual, bed very comfy, bathroom is large, rooms are very well presented, the motor inn is directly opposite the services club.

If I could give more stars, I would. This place surpassed my expectations: it was clean, very well fitted out with quality beds and towels and good-sized rooms....and the best showers ever!!. They were so accommodating for us at the last minute and we were so grateful, but definitely the place to stay when you are in Narrabri. Situated opposite the RSL Club but also only 2 quick blocks to the main centre of town. Cannot fault a thing!

Good clean little motel. The water pressure for a shower is something else, I wish it was this good at home. Pulled up, had a shower and best of all, straight across the road to the RSL for a drink and meal. Perfect

Very nice and clean space. Highly recommend.

Immaculately clean rooms. Very quiet, loads of parking, free WiFi and Android Smart TV's and free Netflix, what more could you ask for? Rooms have lots of power outlets for charging your devices, a little thing that makes a big difference. My room had 8.

Swimming pool and covered BBQ area, very attractive and clean. Guest laundry.

Snacks and a selection of Beers and soft drinks available from reception.
The staff are very accommodating. Five ⭐ stars, a very pleasant place to stay.

Right across the street from the RSL Club.

Beautiful room. Super comfortable beds got a great sleep. Helpful and prompt reception staff.
Was able to watch Netflix on the tv which was a massive bonus.
Great internet connection, was able to stream movies easily.
Super happy with the stay and will be coming back it ever in Narrabri again.

We travel interstate on a weekly basis and as we’d never had the pleasure of staying in Narrabri we were concerned about booking a motel we’d never used before.
Well there was no need for concern as the Southern Cross Motel knocked it kit of the park with customer service, room cleanliness and anything else you would expect from a motel.
Would 100% recommend to anyone staying on Narrabri to book at this motel.

Recently stayed (03/03/2021) at this motel. The hosts were fantastic and helpful, in particular Roxanne. The room was spacious and very clean, everything in the room including the free WiFi which was easy to access.
Breakfast was excellent, I was impressed that the girl delivering breakfast, she would deliver one and then run back to the kitchen to get the next order. Our breakfast was delivered hot at the requested time.
Location opposite the RSL and close to other fast food restaurants. I will definitely stay here again next time, but I will make sure that I book ahead as we got the last room because of a "no show". Most of the motels on the way in had "No Vacancy" signs out.

This has to be the best motel in the West of nsw. So clean and everything works. Owners fabulous and nothing is ever a problem. I am here for four days and enjoying every minute. Opposite rsl club so beer and good food on hand. I won't stay anywhere else.

Really lovely staff. Room and bathroom clean, spacious and comfortable. Helped me out by organising breakfast the night before so I could eat before some very early starts. Will definitely stay here again.

Good Motel - opposite a lovely RSL - and top restaurant. Easy walk across the road. Away from the town but very easy to find. Well worth a look if you are stopping in Narrabri. Tip - Book ahead.

Great place to stay.The rooms are large,clean and modern. Good shower and comfortable bed. Across the road from the RSL where the food is good. A 10 minute walk and you are in town.

Awesome staff and rooms. The pool was an added bonus after a long hot day. Bed was comfortable and the shower was hot even at peak times. Breakfast was delivered to the room with a smile and a have a great day greeting. If you are ever in Narrabri this is the overnight stop to ensure you include. #chrisacewilliamsphotography

Fantastic, one of the best motels I've stayed in. Good price, comfortable, clean and warm. Real milk, quite reverse cycle a/c, large rooms and hot showers with good pressure. 10/10 from me. 🤗
