We feel so lucky to have this place as our local. It reminds me of the quirky little places in West End Brisbane. Eclectic decor, friendly staff and yummy and interesting items on the menu.
And to top it off it’s dog friendly!

Just Googled 'good cafes Brighton' and this one popped up. What a gem of a find.
Music playing by house band and then 'open mic night' and we did not have to pay a fortune to listen to great live music.
Fabulous range of beers and fantastic share plates.
If you are in the area make sure you drop in. You won't be disappointed.

Spent the afternoon there on a Sunday. We ordered a cocktail and they were beautiful, included edible flowers. We are both gluten free and were offered gluten free options!! A must try for GF crowd ❤

There was an open mic afternoon on, very talented performers.

I'm a local, fairly regular attendee and have only good things to say about Eclectea.

The vibe, the food, the drinks, the entertainment and last but not least, the beautiful people who run and make it all such a marvellous special gem in the burbs.

So friendly, welcoming and witty..ask for suggestions and they're always willingly provided. Everything I've ever drunk or eaten has been delicious and my friends and I love coming here just for a Friday drink or a special occasion. It's so welcoming to all humans and their fur kids alike.

I celebrated a milestone birthday at Eclectea with 30 friends & it was truly an amazing night. From the first phone call, Kara set out to make the whole experience as easy as possible. She even embraced my 1970s theme, creating a 70s cocktail list & themed cheeseboards, busting out some decorations & getting the pre-booked live performer on board. Food, drinks, venue, service, music - couldn't fault a thing. Always love dropping into Eclectea and now have even more reasons to visit this beautiful neighbourhood bar. Thanks team!

This place is awesome. Excellent food. Cares for their community. Brilliant, nice people running the place too. Had such a good meal on Saturday last week I ended up coming back the very next day and sang some tunes at the open mic night they host… I’ll be back there for sure.. In fact, I might even become a regular!!!

Lovely little neighbour bar / cafe / eatery in Brighton. The staff are genuine, generous and kind. They host various community events like book clubs and workshops, and live music on the weekend.

We stopped by this charming bar after hearing about its live music and had a fabulous time. Staff and owners were super accommodating and friendly. Will definitely be returning! :)

New management has given this place a nice fresh much needed makeover. I like the menu, drinks list and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend a visit.

Beaut place. Live music. Good cocktails which the staff will convert to mocktails. Staff are dairy allergy aware so it makes a visit here easier for me.

Such a happy vibe at this great street corner café! Staff are smiling and friendly, yummy food, fun and quirky inside decor, tables outside and doggies are welcome - it's the perfect spot!

I held my 40th birthday party at Eclectea and could not be happier with how everything turned out!

Review TL;DR - If you're wanting to have an event in an amazing, fun, and airy venue with great food and drink, look no further than Eclectea.

From organising the food and drink plan beforehand, to Kara so generously making it a private function space for a few hours, and then the service on the day from the AMAZING staff, I couldn't have been happier.

I have to make particular mention of the food. The grazing platters at the start (meats, cheeses, fruit, nuts, dips) were a massive hit - my friends very much commented on the visual and taste "wow" of it. Later on the quesadilla boards were understandably quickly devoured. (And if they suggest the Brazilian cheese balls with garlic butter dipping sauce for your event, you just say yes - life will never be the same).

Finally, the venue itself was a talking point amongst my friends. Now I may have frequented Eclectea for a quiet Sunday arvo beer or two since its rebirth, so I know the feel and look well. But my Eclectea-newbie guests loved the decor, ambience, and soul of the place. Yes, I said Eclectea has a soul. Get on down, grab a drink, and you'll see why.

Beautiful little suburban bar, friendly and attentive staff, well priced and great atmosphere. Reminiscent of a West End/Melbourne, lucky to have it right here in Brighton.

My family and I love this place. We visit about once a fortnight and have not been let down yet. Each visit we love the service, we love the food and we love the drinks. The music is just the icing on the cake and is great for the kids to have a little dance to. Thanks for everything you do for our community team Eclectea!

The perfect place for a quite drink, or listening to the many live music acts. Comfortable atmosphere that’s truely unique. Great food and drink. But most importantly they will go out of their way to help you enjoy yourself. (ie. chalk or drawing for the kids, treats for the dogs and custom drinks) Couldn’t recommend enough.
