Weir Park

Weir park in Horsham is an excellent place to spend some time in. There's a playground for the kids, bbq facilities with water taps, sitting facilities with benches, toilets etc. Look out for plenty of small green Parrots on the grassy areas under the trees. And because this park is situated on the banks of the Wimmera river, it offers plenty of good fishing spots too (although there were hardly any catches, but many anglers were trying their luck anyway (including us) over the weekend!) And if that's not enough, there's a good walking/Cycling trail which goes to the opposite side of the river as well. There's also an angling club nearby. So, no chance of -- "Getting Bored" around here whether you are a Kiddie, Youngie, or an Oldie. And if you do or say so... well then, you may feel weird in Weir park!😅

Great covered playground with BBQ facilities and toilets. Love the little boat the kids can play in. Great climbing rope and some smaller equipment for smaller kids. All fenced in so you don't have to worry about them running off. Close to the river so can admire the wildlife. Have a BBQ is great they are clean and easy to use. Big car parking area. Great place for the kids to burn some energy 👌😆

Great spot in Horsham, lovely along the water and the charity car show was good to see too. It was a really nice spot to have our lunch.

Horsham is one of my favourite Victorian country towns. If you're there, you must come to the Weir Park. Lots to do, walks by the river, picnic or BBQ, playgrounds for the kids, you can walk the dog, ride your bike, or jsut take a snooze on the grass. There are toilets, park benches and picnic tables. Plenty of parking, and only a short distance from central Horsham. You can even jump in the river for a swim!

Great for walks ,runs ,bring your pets with a separate dog yard for you dogs to run. Child friendly fenced in playground. Good swimming and fishing. Toilets and BBQ on-site. Great place for all accasions. A quick bite or gatherings.

Parking easy. Stopped to stretch my legs. Lovely park. Quiet shaded areas close to the water. Very relaxing

Great walking/ riding tracks dog friendly, plenty of seating and shade, some tracks have wooden bridges. Loads of bird life, the council have put signs with QR code’s that tell stories via smart phone which is a great initiative and very entertain for young kids. A great place to enjoy some family time.

Very pleasant surprise. Nice walking trails and well maintained picnic areas.

Very pretty area, plenty of recreation facilities for the children and for an enjoyable family picnic. We go for a walk along both sides of the Wimmera River on the hiking trails frequently to enjoy the scenery, the birds, the ducks, the odd pelican and the tranquility.

Horsham what a great place to visit Central Victoria stopped at weir Park to have lunch went for a walk had to clean up rubbish from McDonald's people left behind what pigs

Love this place and so do the kids, The undercover BBQ area is great and the units work very well. Lots of room for kids to run around and enclosed playground is a bonus especially being so close to the water. BMX pump track a bit further up is gold if your into riding.

Beautiful park for a picnic. The whole park is kept very clean and tidy by volunteers, highly recommend for a stop on your way through Horsham
