Blue Gums campground

Surrounded by tall Blue Gums, this large campground is a great spot for the whole family to escape. It’s close to the city, yet so peaceful it feels like a million miles away.

Set up camp on the large grassy area and head off to explore the surrounding bush by foot. Go mountain bike riding on the Mount Yengo loop trail or explore the 4WD trails through rugged valleys.

Or, if you just want to take it easy, simply sit back, relax and enjoy this remote setting. You might even be lucky enough to get a visit from the local wombats and wallabies in the area while you’re taking in the scenery.

At night, get cosy, swap stories and toast marshmellows by the campfire.

A nice place for winter. Do not go here on a hot day in the summer though!
The is very open and offers little shade. The toilets are like saunas in summer. The drive to this campsites is only suitable for a all wheel drive car that is slightly raised (like our Subaru Forester 2001) make sure you car is ready for this.

I'm not sure how the national park crews managed to selling camping tickets while having the gate to this campaign ground locked up. Arrived at dusk last weekend and realised there is no pin number facility at the gate, which was replaced with a padlock?! Had to head back the the Fenchley camp site instead. Pretty disappointed, the parks need to sort this out if they are charging peeps money for it.
