Big River Golf and Country Club

Great spot for a stop over with the family, and price is very reasonable. Rooms have a beautiful view over the golf course and decked out with all required amenities (A/C, undercover parking, iron, fridge). We wish we had the availability to stay longer, will definitely be staying next time (missed the opportunity for a swim). Thank you staff and management

We stayed for two nights in October 2023 and loved it! The room was clean and quiet in a really nice surrounding. The staff were very nice and helpful and dinner in the Tavern Bar was excellent. Can thoroughly recommend and will definitely stay again.

Stayed at the par five shacks and had dinner in the big River tavern. Beautiful spot on the terrace overlooking the 18th green for dinner. Great food and good prices.

Spend two nights in the deluxe king room. The room was really nice, great king bed and facilities. The minor thing was there was no DVD player it just would off being nice at night to relax with a movie. But that is soo minor. My husband and I enjoyed our stayed and definitely will come back.

An older style, very clean and large room with brilliant outlook. Service was very good and friendly. We would stay again. New accom being built now.

Great service by Madi, Bree, Nick and the crew. Personable and familiar throughout with a good food offering to boot. Would like to see better local Riverland wine options given the availability these days, but I’m sure this will come in time. Support local.

The rooms where very spacious and clean but lots of insects they need to have double screens very stuffy as I always sleep with a window open.The views are amazing just relaxed and the birds singing if you are in need of some time out this is the place to stay.

Had a really great time. We ate at the restaurant too and the food was delicious. They even gave us a complimentary bottle of wine and some nibbles which was acreally great surprise. It was beautiful.

Had to use cushions to hold curtains against wall to blockout a little sunlight, for a daytime nap, otherwise very comfortable and clean rooms, thanks!

We visited the tavern for lunch while visiting the floods in the Riverland. What a gem, a lovely dining room overlooking the golf course, or if open air us your fancy, dine on the verandah.
Great selection of pub/club meals and generous size servings. Do yourself a favour, support the riverland communities and enjoy a great meal.

Our family of 4 had 4 lovely mains, garlic bread, bottle of wine and traditional raspberry lemonades for $122. Thai beef salad tasty (note the noodles do come fried if you're being diet conscious). The mixed seafood platter and chicken burger enjoyed but all agreed the highlight was a tasty and beautifully orchestrated steak sandwich that we would all order on return. The meat was cooked to perfection. I was concerned about some negative reviews read prior but there was no need to be and we would recommend the venue.

Had a really lovely stay for a travel auction. Our room was meticulously clean and the air conditioning was pumping for us when we arrived. Front desk and kitchen staff were super accommodating to our annoying special requests and the dining room was recently renovated and really beautiful.

Positives:
* Room was nice, with good size TV.
* Customer service was great
* Food was delicious
* Cheap alcohol!

Cons:
* The food was outrageously expensive. Example: Vegetarian Burger cost $26!

Can highly recommend. Even with a large group of 22 our meals came out in 20 mins (we were there early though) and every meal was delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff were lovely and we all enjoyed the night. Will absolutely come back next year!

Absolutely loved our dinner at Big River. Good was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Clean restaurant and facilities. Well definitely be back if we're back in the area.

Absolutely amazing food. Shared the seafood platter with my son and everything was cooked to perfection. My other son did note that the chips were a little cold though however otherwise loved his schnitzel. Staff were super lovely too.

We were driving down to Adelaide in the Gameco Artisan Supplies truck and the combination of tons of knifemaking steel and blacksmithing tools and possibly the worst pot holes we have ever seen and resulted in suspension damage that needed to be attended to.
A mechanic in Berri looked at the truck straight up and got us going, and I will leave a review for them soon but while we were there they also suggested we head to the Big River Golf Club for breakfast.
They gave us directions (it’s over there by those trees) and after seeing a lot of trees we found the destination.
The club was nice and the food was terrific. We had bacon and eggs and breakfast etc.
we were served by an excellent member of staff with the title on their badge of “responsible person” Chloe? Maybe it was ages ago. At least a week.
It was excellent to be served by a responsible person as that is everything we are not.
So good food, good service, nice location!
