Freshest meat in town - trust me I've checked!
This butcher brings in meat from their own farm so it is wonderfully fresh and they can cater to food sensitivities like mine. I'm a little bummed that I won't be able to try their aged meats, I bet they're wonderful! But being able to eat red meat and having a reliable supplier makes me so happy and has really improved my health. I absolutely recommend this butcher. They are lovely, the meat is amazing. T-bones are buttery [add Homer Simpson noise here], the lamb is gorgeous, and the scotch fillets taste like they are infused with rosemary and are so tender that knives are optional.
I don't go above 4 stars on anything unless I am truly impressed. Can't ask for more from Lost River. They are fantastic!

Beautiful lamb. Absolutely beautiful. Just went there this week for lamb (keen to try the beef). Every cut of lamb was beautifully prepared and well trimmed. I indulged in 7 trays of loin chops, cutlets and shanks because I was so happy to finally find a good butcher. It's clear these guys take alot of pride in their work and respect the animals. And as an added bonus they have good prices. Can't ask for more than that. I hope to come back again and again. It's not the closest butcher to me, but I've dealt with quite a few recently and Lost River has absolutely blown me away. Very happy, would recommend to everyone.

A quality butcher, very tasty meats. All the meat is free range and chemical free. They sell wholesale to the local restaurants and a small selection to the public. At the end of the day they often have marked down stick, if your looking for a bargain. They are very helpful with cooking advice and have quality service.

They are my local and I'll be very sad if I ever move away.

I love this place. When I walked in and saw their cutlets I heard a song play in my head: "Hello... is it me you're looking for..." Damn good work. short clean bone, no excess fat. So good. Very reasonable price especially when you consider you're not paying for all the fat and bone you didn't want on it. I'll endeavor to upload a pic next time I grab some. The ones I bought this week have ...uh, disappeared under mysterious and delicious circumstances.
I will say the place doesn't look like much from the outside but seriously go in and take a look at the meat. I live across town and make the trip every week because I just will not go anywhere else now.

Great quality, great price, so relieved I don't have to get meat from woolies or pay as much as I do at other butcher. I've gone a few times.their sausages are great which is the common yard stick for butcher quality. I also enjoyed their shanks and cutlets
