My husband Ken spoke with a Mark from the Department regarding in depth questions relating to the rules and regulations for Pre May 2016 pool barriers. Mark was very knowledgeable and relayed information accurately and clearly. A real pleasure speaking with Mark.

In the first week of August called the Department. The friendly voice at the other end was Elisa. Her patients in listen to the situation was calming, meaningful and most of all genuinely we could tell immediately people come first attitude. I even shared a story about our son with CHD “Childhood Heart Disease” and his life saving surgery in a few weeks. Elisa your and our community prayers worked for our boy. His life saving surgery went fantastically. Ladies like you certainly make the world a much nicer place, thanks so much hopefully you get to see our post. Renewing high risk license is so hard. There is a writing blocking where people entering code. Entered code wrong few times because I can't see it. And lock me out and have to wait an hour to log on again.

We've held our ground against this alleged corruption. Fellow business owners, we implore you to stay vigilant, question unfair practices, and don't hesitate to seek legal help when needed. Let us remember our rights to demand respect, equality, and justice in our work, and courageously call out corruption where we see it.

A Warning to Fellow Business Owners:

Take note. In navigating the complex world of business, encounters with various departments are inevitable. I am sharing my experiences and insights here as a WARNING to all business owners. Particularly those who may have or plan to change their ABN types, be it from sole traders or partnerships to a company structure. This department has NO JURISDICTION over ABN holders that register as a COMPANY. Be aware, be informed, and PROTECT YOUR BUSINESS. It's our duty as a community to support each other and stand up against bad government practices.

The department in question has recently shown a glaring disregard for basic professional decorum in their dealings with multiple small businesses. Their tactics, characterized by intimidation and racial profiling, are deeply unsettling, and unfortunately, they could potentially target other businesses in similar ways.

Blonde haired middle aged lady wearing glasses doing the electrical contracting licences at 1015am on the 8th of August was rude, condescending and demeaning. Went in there excited to get my electrical contracting licence, walked out feeling stupid and deflated.

Absolute worst people you could possibly deal with will take your money and not give you what you paid for and make up some lame excuse to not refund you your money...

When making a building complaint please be prepared for 6 months of back and forth emails with possibly no resolution.
