The comment underneath saying it is closed is missleading. It is open! You don’t need to enter the area through the main gate - that is for events, the camping grounds are on the side, a couple hundred meters further from the main entrance.
We’ve been hear just at the peak season and on our own. This is a super quiet town, silence and stars at night. The sunrise has been magnificent.
Facilities include toilets, showers (hot), water supplies. Pets are allowed on these grounds.
Had motorbikes with us so took advantage of nearby state forest, so many places to ride!!!

We phoned the campground before we arrived and a really nice man told us that we are the first campers for a long time. So we didn't know what to expect.. But when we arrived there was a really beautiful and green camping area with very clean amenities which the caretaker opened just for us. We really had a quiet night and would highly recommend this beautiful spot for camping!

A very quiet 'chillout' spot, large undercover area with picnic tables saves having to set up under our awning. Power and showers/toilets are available however we chose to use power only $15/ night.
