Wombadah Country Escape

Wombadah is just beautiful. The accommodation itself is perfect, with everything you need, including a stunning view and super comfortable bed. The natural surrounds are just beautiful and full of bird life, making for such a serene and peaceful environment. The views are expansive and absolutely stunning! The location is great and close to town. We highly recommend this place and can’t wait to return again soon!

Absolutely fantastic place to stay in Mudgee!
We stayed here in December and were delighted by the location (on a little hill, close to a few vineyards and olive tree farms), the gorgeous views (Mudgee countryside, kangaroos jumping around in the bush…), and the wonderful amenities (swimming pool, balcony, wifi, coffee machine…) as well as the kindness of the new owner Bryan. We’ll be back for sure!

This is a special place and Ray and Kay are such lovely people. The views out across the valley are amazing. One day of our stay it rained and we just sat on the deck looking out across the valley as the rain swept across the hills and up the valley. Lightning stabbed and thunder rolled across the skies while we sat comfortably and well protected on the private decks outside our room.

You are greeted in your well appointed room by a bottle of wine locally sourced by Ray. Kay makes the amazing breakfasts and they both come out to sit and chat with you once you have finished. This after breakfast chat is really valuable for the insights you will gain about the local wineries, good tours, places to drive or ride your bicycle, historical notes whatever you want to know about the area.

The house is a 20$ taxi ride from Mudgee and has a feeling of splendid isolation while really only being just outside the township.

We will definitely be back.

Perfectly positioned in Mudgee with an amazing view, great rooms with a pool and spa area. Ray and Kay provide a lovely breakfast each morning with loads of local information and everything to do with wines. We will be back here as the tour Ray put together showed us the heart of Mudgee!

What an amazing place to stay, we visited there as three couples and we all thoroughly enjoyed Wombadah Guest House. Kaye and Ray are fabulous hosts and have a gorgeous property.

It's nice and everything is very nice, but it's no good for smokers, we were taking a long hike before smoking.
Apart from that the rooms are very nice, and everything is well appointed. Nothing wrong with it, it's clean and good, and they are very welcoming and polite.

Great little B&B, very welcoming, nice views, complementary wine and port which is a nice touch. Breakfast is really nice and they give a couple of options. We will definitely come back.

Ray and Kaye are lovely. The guest rooms are spacious and clean and the view at sunset is amazing.
