Spirit Of Parkes Train

A beautiful old train. A good place to stop and stretch your legs

Interesting Locomotive. Not too much information. Good parking good. Next to a little park and a small lake. A small coffee shop was also in site but didn't buy one (plus was closed when I was there).

I've only given this two stars because at least the loco has been preserved by being plinthed. But it's in a fanciful livery, it should be black and also it should be under a cover of some sort rather than open to the worst the weather can throw at it. Naturally it would be nice if it could be restored to operational condition which would be possible if the will was there together with the money needed to do it. Where it is it looks like a fish out of water.
