The cutest shop! The flower posies are adorable and the big arrangements are works of art. The shop has a beautiful selection of gifts and homewares including cards, candles and beautiful mugs. The range is constantly changing, so it's always worth a visit to see what they have. Posies sometimes sell out on the weekends though, so it can be a good idea to get in early!

Most beautiful local shop. My go-to for birthday gifts, thank you’s or that something special for me. I love the winter clothing lines they stock too -perfect for Canberra winters.

I dislike posting adverse experiences of small businesses but Shop Girl in Ainslie is really appalling. As a disabled person there is no reasonable access nor any apparent inclination on the part of the staff to be if assistance. Equally they refuse to allow access to information about their products to anyone who does not follow them on Instagram. This is not a problem for me, however I have a number if elderly relatives who are both disabled and techno compromised. I find their attitude just outrageous in these matters. We live in a society that has made the conditions of age and disability quite inclusive. Shop Girl unfortunately represents, almost symbolically, all the qualities that we find so unappealing in an age group often portrayed as entitled, privileged and so woke they cannot see the reality of poverty, disenfranchisement or social inequity. I think if you read my other posts you will find I normally go to great lengths to find something positive to say, especially about small business, but I am afraid Shop Girl has quite defeated me. If others have had a similar experience there please let me know, perhaps I am being unfair here, but I really do not think so.
