Dalmorton campground

Beautiful scenery at the camp site which is situated along the river and has the basic needs (drop toilet, fire pits, BBQ's) but camping sites are limited.

One of my favourite areas. I usually free camp nearby, but for peace of mind during peak periods, this campsite is worth a look. You have a good swimming area with plenty of room for lots of people, and can kayak and so on. My only advise is dont go and do the walk to the historic hut, not only is the area now not maintained and the grass is long and the track hard to follow, the hut itself is burnt down now and there is only a pile of corrugated iron to look at in long grass. Which is a shame to lose a bit of an historic site like that.

Great spot for camping BYO everything . The day we went their it had been after three heavy days of rain and about 300mm . The roads I were wet and slippery . The camp ground is very basic and from i read no fishing . The tunnel though the rock is amazing . You can stop next to a picture on a sign that was taken in the same spot a150 years ago ,

Awesome campground with easy access, toilets very clean and tidy. With firewood well supplied

Great camp area along the river ... visit the old Gold Mining Town never know their might be a shinny rock left sitting on the ground. Relax by the river and let life just flow on by. All I can say is go and have a Capt Cook for yourself

Great place to camp and quite enjoy the stay with the running river next to it.

Go off the beaten track! Well worth it!

The little National Parks campground is well looked after and not far from the river. You may find the only company that you have will be kookaburras and goannas.

Great little spot no services.

Not cared for that well but it is remote so maybe that is a little bit unrealistic.

The long-drops were as clean as long-drops can be but the site we had was left in a pretty poor state with rubbish.

The drive in sites that are suitable for campers weren't too level but ok.

I would recommend looking around for one of the free spots along the river before this one.

Not much here though that is the appeal.
Room for improvement though some of that can be solved by those few free camping using the river as a toilet.
