Steve, Lyn and the team at Eastview are fantastic. Impeccable service, amazing drinks, great food. The team have always done everything they could to make me and my companions feel welcome and at home. As soon as I leave I'm always planning the next visit. Definitely worth a trip to Kentucky for the experience.

What a pleasure to meet the owners of EastView Estate, from the moment we pulled up in our car the the country serenity was very relaxing, then Stephen came out and greeted us...this made us feel extremely welcome. I would recommend anyone in the New England Region of NSW or interstate travellers to visit, well worth your time. Thank you Stephen and Lyn.

Amazing food, good local wine, great hosts. If you are anywhere within cooee, and looking for a top night out, you would be mad to pass up the opportunity of a night out here. I drove 600 kms for the one night out, and look forward to the next opportunity. Has to rate as the world's most remote and unlikely 5-star restaurant. Therefore, only known to locals, and the people the locals want to know. Do yourself a huge favour, and book before you go, as the locals often fill the place.

Absolutely marvellous little gem, right near my own home. The owners and staff were attentive and pleasant, I would have loved to have stayed for lunch, but that will be on my next visit.
Definitely worth trying your favourite spirit, as they distill a few along with wines. There 3 Gins were devine.

Excited to visit this distillery with friends after being away from Armidale for a number of years (previously attended UNE). Cutting to the chase, I told the woman serving my friends gin taste tests that I was the driver so wasn't tasting. She informed me that I could have 7 taste tests and be at 0 alcohol level.
When I wanted to buy a bottle of sweet pea the male 'owner' told me I couldn't have one because how will he be able to do taste tests if he sells them all. I said it was my mum's 70th in a week and she would love a bottle of sweat pea. He responded, "Why? She'll be dead soon!'. Then turned to his friend next to me and said, so I could hear, "Like I give a f*#K". My jaw dropped!
We left that negative space and moved back to the dining side. I ordered a burger without cheese and sauce because I am allergic to dairy. The burger came out with cheese on it. The lovely waitress apologised then sent it back. Two minutes later the burger was back and the meat was raw. I asked for it to be cooked please. When it came back a third time the burger meat was slapped around the plate, I put my knife into the burger and there was still cheese on it. I stood up and went to the waitress and said, "This is not ok. I am allergic to dairy and I am being put at risk here". The lovely waitress apologised again and came up to me a few moments later letting me know it will be recooked and I won't be charged.
Then a new person, woman sweating, came out from the kitchen (the cook and wife of the owner). She came straight up to me and said rudely, 'We don't do changes to the menu, how do you expect me to remember to not put cheese on? I'll make you calamari".
I said, "This is not ok. You are being rude and making it sound like I have done something wrong. That's not acceptable. I ordered a burger, not calamari". She then said, "As far as I'm concerned you can leave my restaurant. I am not going to cook you anything'. She was right, I was left at the table with 7 friends eating and I never received a meal!".
Then the man who was rude to me earlier came out (cooks husband and co-owner) and asked how everything was going. I said I am not impressed with the service and definitely do not appreciate you using the 'f' word in front of me before. He then yelled over a 4 year old little girls head at me, "I don't give a f*#k". He kept saying very rude things and turned to the mother of the 4 year old who had asked him to not speak like that around children said, "You're a f&#king maggot".
We had never experienced anything like this in our lives. Everyone who got a meal, paid for it, just so nothing bad came back on them. However, after we all left and were saying goodbyes at our cars, he came out onto his balcony and starting yelling abuse at us...again. He went on and on and on.
It was a very scary situation. We were in an isolated location being verbally abused, his behaviour was so erratic. It was extremely upsetting and worthy of a police report. I don't recommend anyone wasting their time going there.

The owners were abusive and offensive toward our group. Would never return or recommend.
