Dr. Sarah is a fabulous GP who has kept my family healthy and alive. Without her we would have no Mallacoota Medical Centre. I highly recommend her professionalism and willingness to go far beyond the call of duty.

My wife and I visited the clinic during last festive season around 27th of December 2022. My wife was pregnant then and she was bleeding one night when we travelled from Melbourne to Mallacoota for a short holiday. We checked into the clinic the morning after when my wife bled the night before. DR. Emily examed her and she did try to perform ultrasound but she said she wasn't trained with the equipment but she did try to detect the heart beat from the fetus however she failed to do so as she hasn't been trained. Dr Emily then advised us the only way to determine the baby is still alive and healthy is yo perform 2 blood tests in a space of 2-3 days to get 2 results and check the HCG level, if the HCG level is dropping then most likely we will not be able to keep this baby. We did our first blood test in the Mallacoota clinic and we then cut our holiday very short as we don't have the mood to stay anymore, so we travelled back to Melbourne to get the second blood test done. Unfortunately, the results were not in our favorite. The HCG level has dropped and Dr. Emily said this is definitely going to be a miscarriage and she suggest us to go to Royal woke hospital to perform and procedure to remove the fetus. We were shocked and heartbroken. This is just the day before New Years Eve, we checked into Royal Women's emergency and the doctor at the site read the Dr. Emily's report strongly suggested us to wait for 2nd of Jan to perform a professional Ultrasound before the procedure as he doesn't think miscarriage is the case here. That was the most unsettled News Years time in our life, we didn't know how to feel and what to think. On the 2nd of Jan, me and my wife attended the ultrasound appointment and guess what! The sonographer identified and heart beat and she said the baby is super healthy and strong. There is nothing to worry about. 9 months from there. My daughter Anya was born on the Thursday 13th of July. I just want to write this review to let Dr. Emily knows that we were very lucky that we had second opinion from the emergency doctor, otherwise you would have took my daughter's life and probably destroyed my wife and I mentally. Just so you know, 8 - 10 weeks pregnancy HCG level will drop as part of natural process of pregnancy. Please don't just based on HCG level again doctor!!!!!!! You can find my daughter's photo attached.

received the wrong diagnosis & prescription, knowledge of the mistake was sent via voicemail a week later. Ended up having to go to the doctors in Geelong. Waste of money.
