La Sila Homestead

Perfect location right in the middle of all the wineries and a quick drive into town. Quiet and beautiful property to relax and watch the kangaroos come right up to the house, or use as a base to go and do tastings! Have now stayed here twice and have recommended it to friends who have all loved it too.

Do not risk staying here. A group of us were attending a wedding (in the wedding party) and having booked this months before, arrived on the afternoon of our stay to find the property dead bolted and the key left did not open the lock. We contacted the booking agency (Weekenda.com.au) who contacted the owner but the owner refused to help at all, having left the Hunter Valley. They would not even consider a locksmith coming to unlock the deadbolt for us. We were lucky to find very expensive alternate last minute accommodation but it wasn’t in a convenient location for the wedding and caused a great amount of trouble for us and undue stress for all involved.
