This is the start place for the Iluka rainforest walk, and there's a bit of parking here too, quite easy to navigate. It's a beautiful place to visit. Takes around two hours to walk the track, get to the bluff, and spend a few mins walking the beach and taking photos etc. Not a difficult walk but there are some steps up the bluff from the picnic area.

An easy flat 2.6k walk through beautiful rainforest to Iluka Bluff lookout where we were fortunate to spot a pod of humpback whales migrating north. Good picnic spot with tables, toilets and access to a white sand beach with views north to Woody Head.

Manageable walk even for myself currently pregnant at 7th month of it. Thankful for some benches along the way for a quick out stop.

Beautiful walk with some lovely beach views at the end of it. Would recommend wearing closed in shoes, as there was a couple of snakes around when we visited.

A nice easy walk through the forest, and a small walk up hill to the lookout.

Excellent walk through a protected rainforest. Enjoyed the coolness of the forest, birds singing, ocean sounds, and kids laughter. Good family activity particularly birdwatching. Allow time after the walk to explore the Lookout and the beach. We packed some snacks/drinks and sat on the beach. Toilets available. Limited street parking near around Crown Street.

The walk is quite peaceful, it is very shaded and clean. However it is very boring if you were to bring kids, there is very little new things to see other than birds. The trail only goes for roughly 2 hours there and back but the pace is determined by you so the time could be different.

The trail itself hasn't got the distance on it but based on what I walked I would say it is around the 5 mark there and back.

There are no toilets until the end of the trail, there wee numerous benches to sit on and a very clear path. However there are lots of things you can trip on and the scenery looks almost the same all the way.

I would recommend it as an exercise not a fun activity with lots of sightseeing.
