Stepping Stones Child Development Centre

Our daughter has absolutely loved Stepping Stones. She also attends daycare and SS is by far her favourite. The effort the staff go to to provide educational and fun activities, as well as foster a sense of community is outstanding, as are the facilities. Could not recommend enough.

Our son has thrived at Stepping Stones over the past year and has learnt many valuable lessons which will prepare him for kindy and beyond. The staff are hugely dedicated and are always looking for new learning opportunities - many led by the children. The kids have a great space to play in outside and inside and are encouraged to interact with the natural environment. They are allowed to play in the rain (hoorah). I can't recommend it highly enough. A special mention to his teacher Amy who is incredible.

Both our boys have been to Stepping Stones and we love the teachers and caring environment. It is small and feels very homely. It is a great pre-kindy warm up to get 3 year olds ready for the routine of going to real kindy when they are 4.

"learning... through our Christian values" actually means a fair bit of preaching towards the christian faith itself for your little child. Personally I feel this is a betrayal of trust for the very young and impressionable child, to have this put on them. Christian values in education should be limited to respect, responsibility, self-control, honesty, compassion, thankfulness, perseverance, humility, and loyalty - these are universal values of course, not owned by any faith.
Having said this our little girl has been going here for 2 years and loves it. They have a great set up with garden and wide verandah and a good programme of learning through play.
