A gem hiding in plain sight. So much history to take in here and a good view to be had over the town and out into the surrounding countryside.
I had lunch here and no one else came. The noise would have been so different 100 years ago. Now it’s a ghost mine.
The sign that says 1520ft at the Browne shaft just lets you know how much work was done below your feet.
Now only the Pidgeons look out at what’s going on, people taking photos of their home!

Literally a lot of mines in one spots so cool. Nice place to visit for information and for good pics and historical site. It was hard to navigate it tho as some sections are closed off

A really great heritage building that you can get very up close to and take some fantastic photos. Plenty to explore around this relatively small site and lots of information boards. The carpark is up the hill and very close to the mining site, with most of the mine viewable following a short walk around. Definitely worth exploring and getting up close to a historic mining site.

Old mine shaft you can get up close and personal with. Decent view over Broken Hill township too.

This mine site is a pretty cool place to visit, specially at sunset or sunrise.
There is a fair bit of information about the various equipment and structures.
Easy to get to and the parking is almost under the main structure.

This is an excellent example and demonstrates why we need to save our historic and significant buildings. Chris our local guide presented an interesting and informative overview of the mine and early miners conditions.

We almost drove past this mine. Glad we didn’t. The information plaques were so informative. We gained an insight into how the shafts and tunnels were constructed and the layer of the tunnels.
Don’t miss seeing this attraction.

The last remnant of the hill is just next to the mine head. This is what Broken Hill looked like before mining started.

Close to town and easily accessible. Very interesting place to get a better understanding of what an old mine would have been like. The information boards are interesting to read, as you walk around the preserved structures.
