St. Ives Traditional Massage Therapy

I had a massage for the first time at Joanne's massage business and I was very impressed. I wasn't quite sure what to expect but everything went better than I expected. Joanne was very gentle and the masseuse gave a mix of traditional hard and firm pressure massage and stretching. Turned out to be wonderful and a good experience! Was so nice and relaxed afterwards, I was really tired before. Now I am addicted and visit them a few times a month.

Decent Massage. Managed to release my mussels which is no easy feat for most masseuses. Nice quite environment.

I had stressful week and wanted to have a massage to relieve the soreness in my back and shoulders. I booked for 5:20pm and being a new customer had trouble finding the location. I arrived at 5:25pm to only be told that because I came 5min late I had to come back at 6pm due to another customer coming before me. They also said that people book and don’t turn up and they get who ever comes in first. Silly me, wanted a massage that afternoon agreed to comeback at 6pm. The toilet didn’t have soap, the massage wasn’t close to a remedial massage, the ladies nails where long and I didn’t feel relaxed as staff where talking in the common room and they where not mindful of customers wanting a quiet and relaxing experience. I asked for her to massage my feet but she only spent 2 minutes doing it. I felt like I was massaged like a dough of bread and it didn’t feel like a proper remedial massage. When it came to pay the lady that massaged me said as I was paying by card there would be a fee of $8 on top of the $80 one hr massage. I refused to pay the extra $8 and she wasn’t happy about that and hurried me off to the door and shut it loudly. Very rude staff, who don’t care about customers and only care about making money. Please find some where else for a massage and don’t waste your money. They don’t accept health fund rebates either. Poor service overall; I’m not a happy customer.
