Midlands Motel

Absolutely brilliant stay at the Midlands Motel whilst it was under sad times due to attending funeral, my stay was seamless. Staff were amazing from reception greeting to check out to the domestic staff. I loved the quaintness of the older style of the rooms including the old meal opening at the entrance (never change the style - it brought back memories of a child first time in a motel in the 60s) including complimentary milk (shops are easy access -15-20mins walk). So much to see from the ceiling to wall window views of the river and people watching was fun. I will most definitely come back again on my next stay.

Simple, unpretentious, comfortable, and well-priced; perfect for a simple overnight stay. Check in was uncomplicated.

Room was simple but amenable. Location was quiet. Bed was comfortable.

The couple that operate the motel were extremely helpful in assisting me attend an event on time, by providing me with a lift, and being flexible when my plans changed. The amenities were great and so was my view of the river from my room.
Highly recommend this place as not only a positive but an inspiring experience to travel more.

Lovely room overlooking the river. Has been refurbished in good taste and has everything you need, including Netflix! The new Management has done a great job during difficult times, they were helpful and friendly. We were taken on a great Tour of the local sights of interest, in their new van. They have lots of enthusiasm. The van, like the Motel, was also clean and smelled nice, with all Covid precautions in place. I can’t speak highly enough of this wonderful couple. I wish them all the best for their future; they have great plans for their business😘

I called a number of places first but this one stood out by far for friendliness and customer service over the phone for a start, then the room turned out to be beautifully clean and prepared with great attention to detail despite the low price, eg.towels were impressively and creatively folded (we got an elephant!), beds perfectly made etc. They obviously take great care to make their customers feel comfortable. Highly recommended - will definitely be back :-)

Receptionist was very welcoming and knowledgeable on things to do in area, even though she has only been there 10 days! The room was very neat, tidy clean and woke up feeling refreshed 😊 will definitely come back here if in Taree, honestly recommended 👌🏽

Very Nice and Calm Location near the riverfront. Rooms are clean, but not regularly serviced. Rooms have basic cooking facilities as well. Lot of good restaurants nearby. there is a small swimming pool which is good for relaxing. No barbecue. Separate washing facilities available.

I stayed here for just over a week as I was working night shifts in coopernook, I would recommend this motel very highly. They could not be more accommodating to my needs as I didn't finish work till 6am and would sleep till 3.30pm they never put anyone in the room next to me unless it was necessary and as for cleaning my room they waited until I was at work and then cleaned it.I honestly could not of asked for a more relaxing and quiet place to stay while on night work. Thank you to the cleaners as they were so quiet I think they tiptoed passed my room as I never heard them lol. The owners are the most beautiful down to earth people and they bend over backwards four you . Thank you so much I definitely will be back 😃

Quiet and great river views
"We stayed here for 2 nights in a Balcony room. Price was good, surprisingly quiet (even though we were close to KFC). The Balcony view of the river was wonderful. Location was great, 100m from CBD, Staff were great. Would recommend the balcony room. We have already booked for next year."

This place is so cool. My balcony overlooking the river was mint and they folded my towel into the shape of a puppy some how. I commute between Cooma and Brisbane alot and I know where I'll be staying from now on.

Where to stay in Taree. DO NOT MISS THIS Motel.
Super clean, big and if you are lucky, try to get a room facing the Manning river
There are lots of motels in Taree but this is the best of the best.
You will not be disappointed.

Fast internet = 5 stars. Yes, it's almost that simple these days. The bed, services and amenities are average Australian standard. The cleanliness is above average. The opportunity to access a full facility gym is a feather on the crown. And oh, the Manning river is just across the road. What more could you possibly want from a Motel?

An older motel however very well presented and immaculately clean, nice bed . Michelle was extremely helpful and motel was close to everything.

great place. small compact comfortable room, very clean and good aircon. I had a really good sleep. handy location. definitely recommend this above the other taree motels I have stayed at.

The upstairs water view rooms in this motel are fantastic. Balcony overlooking the river. Clean modern rooms. Short walk along waterfront to have dinner at the waterfront sailors club restaurant.

Really clean rooms. Parking not bad but very safe. Fantastic views. Would always try there first.

Nice place to stop over night.

Great motel. Great river views from some rooms. Cheap breakfasts. KFC next door, or 5 min walk along river path to good food at Sailos water front club.
