Nicely appointed room. Strong wifi signal. Walking distance to restaurants, CBD, Beach Bums Cafe, the beach and pub. Has BBQ facilities which was well provisioned. Reasonable rates. Would absolutely stay there again next time we visit Forster.

Awesome little motel right near the beach. Location was perfect. Room was very clean. Beds were comfy. Outdoor pool was great. The staff were helpful and friendly. Could not fault. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay- we’ll be back!

We were upgraded to a newly renovated room that has been done very tastefully 😀 The bed was fresh and comfortable and we slept well. The manager was super friendly and genuinely happy that we enjoyed our stay. We would be super happy to stay again.

Rooms are small and very clean, perfect for 1 or 2 people walking distance to beach, take away and restaurants and a nice pool. Anyone on a budget this is ideal.

At a great price in a fantastic location Golden Sands is a very nice place to stay. 2 min walk to many restaurants and fast food options and one block to main beach. The room is fresh and clean . Bed comfortable. Small fridge microwave and crockery/cutlery ..plenty of tea and coffee with a few biscuits… local channels on tv.. pool was nice for a swim too.. A pleasant surprise was room was serviced while we were out… haven’t seen that happen elsewhere at this price for a couple of years

Good place to stay, and central to town. The owners are very helpful. We chose cheapest accom that we could afford on our budget, and when we arrived, we had been upgraded to better rooms, twice, on our way thru and back from sydney hospital. So we came back again. Thank you Jimmy and Janine for the nice surprise, and your warm friendliness. Will definately come back again. Steve&Deb

Arrived just after New Year stayed for 8 nights the location was the draw card. Staff were very friendly and helpful our room had just been renovated very clean, comfortable, with small sink, microwave, toaster, tea, coffee, plates, cups and cutlery. Staff cleaned our room everyday which was amazing for the price of the accommodation. We did not use the pool as the location was so close to the beach a 5 minute walk. And shops and restaurants about the same distance.
I would like to thank the Staff for making my holiday a lovely memory. 10 / 10

We've been coming here for a few years now and cannot recommend this place highly enough. The room (Premium Queen) was clean and pretty spacious with a small dining table and couple of small armchairs, and small kitchenette (microwave, kettle, toaster, and bar fridge). For location alone it's worth it - 5 minute walk to lake or beach, 2 minute walk to cafes and bottle shop. Pool on-site was clean and perfect for a quick dip or an arvo hanging out with friends and kids. Staff are incredibly friendly and have always gone out of their way to make us feel welcome. It may not be the newest or fanciest place to stay in Forster but we wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Great location so close to everything! The room was really clean and easy check in process, love having milk in the fridge on arrival. Would definitely stay again!

Booked online. Prior to arrival I spoke to the manager about bedding as were a group of 7 men. She could not have been more accommodating. The 3 bedroom unit was oldish, but clean and very comfy. Awesome location right in the middle of town and crazy cheap. Already planning the next trip.😀

Golden sands is so central to everything we hardly use our car when we stay here. Lovely clean pool nice clean decent rooms and Tania in reception is so helpful and a lovely lady. Also like to mention Amanda one of the staff that is always friendly & helpful & im sure they don’t get thanked as often as they should be. So big thanks for another enjoyable stay😘

Location, facilities and staff that go beyond. I cannot recommend this place enough. We experienced a personal matter while we were staying and the staff went above and beyond to help despite it being their busiest season and capacity bookings. We will be back. Thank you for everything ladies.

Clean rooms and welcoming staff

I give it 5 stars for location. It's only a very short walk into the centre of Forster, the seaside cafes and beach and Lake Wallis. The motel is old but clean and comfortable and provided everything we needed.
