Marrickville Vet Hospital AMS

Had quite genuinely the most delightful and heart warming experience with this vet.

We had an appointment with Dr Suzanne, who treated our cat with such respect and kindness. Our concerns were dealt with urgently, and by the end of the day we had blood test results and medication.

Also a very special shoutout to the receptionist/nurse, who was incredible proactive and a real calming help when my little kitty was in some strife.

Will be coming back next time for sure.

I can't speak highly enough about Dr Cam and the team at Marrickville Vet Hospital. They always take the time to listen to my questions and give me advice and support to ensure that my 2 year old Cavoodle Lucy is in the best of health.
Last year Lucy needed an operation on her knee (if she was human I'd say she had a knee reconstruction) and I was really impressed with the care we both got, from the time spent explaining what was wrong and how it was affecting her health and the options available, to the care she got whilst she was there, the phone calls and emails I received during her recovery and the followup care. She is again a very happy little girl that just loves nothing more to be running and jumping, and chasing the ball.

Dr Cameron, Dr Sam and the rest of the team are outstanding. They truly care about what is in the best interest of your pet, but also understand other factors such as $ that need to be weighed up. Their consultations are so thorough, the followup process is incredible - detailed post care instructions, check-in emails to ensure that the pet is recovery well and complimentary post procedure checks. They truly care about pet and pet-parent alike. The best veterinary experience you could hope for.

Edit: initially I gave this place a 1 star review and didn’t expect coming back. However, Cameron the vet got in touch after this negative experience and I felt that he handled the feedback with kindness and care. I gave them another try and was pleased with the care provided to my cat.
Would I recommend? Considering how a negative experience turned into a positive one, yes.

I changed vet to Marrickville Vet Hospital a few months ago and could not be happier. My cat has had three appointments with Dr Rob and he has been fantastic. He has guided me through the process for diagnosing and treating my cat’s asthma. I have felt well informed throughout the process. Rob is always patient and friendly answering every question I have. When my cat had to stay a day for X-rays it was clear that every care was taken to ensure he was comfortable. Follow up care to monitor his treatment progress has been great. I really appreciate that I am able to see the same vet each visit.

While cost was not a factor in my decision to change vets Marrickville Hospital has been significantly more affordable than my previous vet.

I have since recommended Dr Rob to friends who have been equally happy with his care of their puppy.

A wonderful veterinarian practice in the heart of Marrickville. Dr. Cameron and his lovely team took such good care of my senior dog who needed dental work.

The team here are highly skilled in what they do and were patient with me in addressing concerns without judgement. They made sure he had a comfortable recovery and I can’t express my gratitude to them enough.

I will continue to bring my pets here and would recommend this practice to all my family/friends. Thank you once again AMS Marrickville!

My experience here was really good. Everyone was kind and loving towards my bunnies, the veterinarian was very helpful and helped with pricing. Really good experience and I would recommend this vet :)! At this vet they put the animals first and are willing to help you out.

We have been taking our cats here for over a year, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. You can tell they genuinely love and care for the animals, and their jobs. One of my cats has a relatively rare genetic condition, and the vet was so interested over it - he remembers my cat the next times we visit. It warms my heart to see other people care about animals as much as I do.

Such a fantastic veterinary practice!

All the staff are wonderful and it’s always easy to get an appointment. My dogs, Aari and Loki, see Dr. Cameron there. He is incredibly knowledgeable, always very gentle with my puppers and is so lovely. He never rushes appointments, spends time answering questions (I always have loads, sorry Dr. Cameron!), listens to concerns and gives great advice/recommendations.

My boy Loki, in particular, has a number of serious health conditions and on a recent visit, Dr. Cameron took one listen to my boy’s breathing and sent us straight to an emergency vet where he was diagnosed with laryngeal collapse (he had been to another veterinary practice earlier that week and had just been put on antibiotics).

We are sadly moving out of the Inner West but just want to thank Dr. Cameron and his team for the wonderful care they have given my fur babies!

My husband and I just recently adopted 6 months kitten. Veterinarian was honest and generous, telling us that our kitten is very healthy, no worm/flea/fungus. He is also knowledgeable and informative about pets insurance. I highly recommend this vet to all pet's owners.

It's our first time to visit this clinic . My wife and I are desperate to find a vet who is available to see our sick dogs after hours as we both have a very busy working schedule. It was by chance that I googled the clinic and spoke to Michelle who was very accommodating and said that she will check with the vet first as they are quite busy . Luckily for us Michelle advised that the vet can see us at 7:30pm which initially I wasn't 100% sure if we can do it as I was still driving on my way home from Randwick but I took the chance .
Cameron the Vet saw our 2 dogs . He was very good , gentle and very accommodating the best Vet so far that we came across since we came back from port macquarie where my wife was practising her general practice . We are definitely going back to see Cameron and in fact we have indicated if it's ok with him to be our dogs Vet .
We definitely recommend this vet clinic and in particular to ask for Cameron .

Wonderful, caring vet practice. The staff not only took exceptionally good care of my dog who needed to stay in for a few nights, but also went above and beyond in giving me real time, comprehensive updates on how she was going.

Thank you Dr Rob and the team for wonderful care. I too arrived without an appointment with injured Oreo kitty 🐈‍⬛ and he was admitted straight away. His eye was treated immediately and he is recovering well. Couldn’t ask for better care. Also the nurses are gorgeous and compassionate. Thank you again.

A most lovely vet hospital! Every time I've visited, my animals have been treated with the most professional attention with warmth and respect. I love how the vet seen was able to predict that my little eight-week kitten - would grow into a bigger than average male cat as I had no background on his history. It is a smaller vet hospital which I prefer, with a clean and modern looking premises. All staff are highly personable and friendly.' Highly recommended!

The vets and vet nurses at Marrickville Vet Hospital are absolutely delightful. Thy really care about your pet and are super easy to talk to. They are kind and considerate and call you a couple days after your check up to see how your pet is going. My dog loves going here. Before we found this vet we had a number of bad experiences with other vets, so I'm glad I found AMS.

Staff here are helpful and accommodating. Took my greyhound here after he stubbed his toe and broke a nail during a zoomie. AMS was able to assess my dog immediately (I arrived with a limping hound and no scheduled appointment).

We were given meds and advice on what to expect (his nail will fall off). Came in a week later as the nail hadn't come off.

Across both appointments I saw Dr Anita and Dr Cameron, and greeted by Shay. They are genuinely nice, caring people who look after their furry clients. I'm calling this out as not all vet clinics are empathetic or accommodating!!

Excellent veterinary practice servicing the Marrickville area. Dr Edward's saw my mother's dog and was thorough and meticulous in her assessment. A couple of the other vets my mother as been too, the default practice seems to always be to up-sell you something that is not necessary. Dr Edward's was happy to answer all my mum's questions and appease her concerns. Highluy recommended.

The vet was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and worries with confidence. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Clinic was professional and clean. A perfect first visit and check-up for our fur baby. I can tell this is the start of a beautiful relationship ^_^" Highly recommended
