I am of Anglo Indian heritage and have light olive colouring in my 40s and as a result I have pigmentation and dark melasma on my cheeks, forehead and upper lip. Dr Jennifer, Heather and the team have greatly assisted with my ongoing treatment over the years. My skin is amazingly clear as a result. Pores are reduced and tone is much more even. I no longer use make up to hide and cover the melasma - I use now to enhance and have fun. I highly recommend a consult with the team especially if you have dark patches due to uv exposure over the years and hormonal changes occurring.

Also - I have been to other notable Canberra clinics seeking treatment. What I will say is that Aesthetic in my experience - is no more expensive than other specialist treating Drs. Yes there are clinics where nurses and technicians will consult - and this is reflective of price and expertise and training.

There is an initial booking fee deposit which may be forfeited if the apt is not maintained. In my opinion - this is a reasonable assurance for any business that apts will be honoured, so that staff salaries and other costs can be continued to be met. It’s not uncommon now for restaurants to operate on the same system. I’m sure if your income was reliant on clients keeping to scheduled intentions, when apts could have been given to other paying clients on a wait list - you would also seek assurance by way of a deposit.

She was able to provide an easy and practical treatment plan that fixed conditions I’d been incorrectly trying to remedy myself for years. I have been seeing Dr Jenny Leung for the last couple of years and have always found her highly professional. Unlike other clinics I have been to where there were high turnovers in staff, I appreciate the continuity of seeing one person who is highly trained. She provides evidence based advice based regarding specific concerns and will always explain the risks of any procedure. Whilst the clinic may not provide discounted packages like some chains do, I am happy to choose quality and safe care over deals that may not be appropriate for my skin.

Bernard Leung has been treating my skin for 12 years since I was age 41.
