Rent A Bomb Car Rentals Cairns

I’ve been using this company for years and have not had an issue. The booking, pick up service is straightforward and efficient. As the name suggests the cars are visibly old with lots of hard Km’s, but I’ve never had an issue with breakdowns and very importantly the air conditioning has always been good. They are less than half the price of other rental companies, so if you don’t mind driving an old car that drives and handles like an old car with hundreds of thousands of hard Km’s this is a great option to save a heap of cash.

Eden and rent a bomb rented me a cheap run about which was perfect for us. I did not bring a physical credit card on my trip and every other car rental would not accept a digital credit card but Eden made it seamless and possible for me to get around. Thank you for your service and car.

Rented a car on short notice. Reservation and picking up process is really smooth. When I had to extend the reservation on short notice, it was really easy and staff very helpful. Don't expect too much if renting a second-hand car, of course these cars may have scratches and the paint may be falling off, that is part of the deal. Cars are mechanically sound and do what the are made for. AC was icecold and worked perfectly well. The price is unbeatable! Would definitely rent there again.

Never had a bad experience with Rent-a-bomb yet, but I found Eden and the team up in Cairns especially helpful and accommodating. Don't be put off by the name. The cars are old but go well, are comfortable and well-maintained - they certainly aren't bangers. Air-con worked well too, which is essential when driving in far north Queensland.

Car was indeed a bomb, yet totally roadworthy. Pickup and drop off was straight forward, no nonsense, no insurance upsell fear mongering you typically get from the other car hire places.

I needed a cost effective reliable car to get around Cairns whilst working there for a few weeks - Rent A Bomb were fantastic - easy to deal with, fantastic customer service and off the scale value

The car we were given was reliable, easy to drive and cheap to run.

We made a last minute decision to rent a car while in Cairns. They had run out of "bombs" so we got a new little Suzuki at a great price instead. The staff were absolutely fantastic, but the young lady who works here is a champ, so bubbly and friendly, an asset to the buissnes.

Fantastic service they are super friendly and the cars are great for the economic price it’s worth going here than hiring from the Airport as the there are (high extra charges) at the airport rentals.

It’s my second time hiring from rent a bomb Cairns and will continue hiring from them in the future.

Our experience with Rent a Bomb Cairns was extremely positive. We hired a ‘metro’ car and found it to be very reliable, comfortable and convenient. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating and the hire represented excellent value for money. Not everyone needs or wants to hire a brand new car and we felt so much more comfortable driving an ‘established’ vehicle. We will absolutely be using Rent a Bomb for all of our future Cairns car hire needs and we highly recommend their service.

The manual Toyota Corolla that we hired for 10 days was well maintained and just perfect as it is the same model that we drive at home. Haylee looked after us so well and efficiently at pick-up, better than any other of the many hire car companies we have used, some leaving us to figure out how to start the car with keyless entry etc. Haylee came out to the car and explained everything really well. The rental price was much lower here too. We’ll definitely use them again in 2024. Highly recommended.

I have rented a car from Rent a Bomb for two years running now for 6 days and found the vehicles to be perfectly satisfactory with no difficulties. The staff are excellent and go out of their way to assist you in every way. Highly reccomended

We booked our car last minute and Rent a Bomb was able to accommodate us. The car was in great condition, pickup and dropoff were both easy and quick, and the price was reasonable. I’d be happy to use them again!

We have been using Rentabomb Cairns once per year with a 5 to 6 week booking for quite a few years now. Every time, the service has been exemplary.
We have always received the type of car we booked, the paperwork, condition of car photos and getting us on our way has been friendly, courteous and speedy.
This year, we had two punctures in our 1st week! On the first occasion, the front punctured tyre could not be repaired, and two new front tyres were fitted, with a minimal charge of $50 for ‘repair'.
A few days later, we spotted a 'u'- shaped nail in a rear tyre, although the tyre was not flat. We were close to Rentabomb, so we drove there. The car was jacked up, the tyre removed, the nail extracted, and leakage tested. No leakage, the tyre was sound, so we were quickly on our way!
Returning the car was easy, and we were on our way to the Airport promptly.
Well done by everybody at Rentabomb Cairns! We will see you again in 2024.

Excellent service from the whole team from picking the car up to returning it , the car not what I’d call a bomb 85000km but so what , yeah it had a few little dents and scratches , normal for a car having done the kilometres ,enjoyed driving the car (Suzuki Barina)
