Setting Up Shop

I found the experience working with Karyn at Setting up shop extremely valuable, cost-saving and professional. Karyn absolutely knows the lease, fit-out and property management space! Having a consultation with Karyn at the initial stages of finding a medical space was invaluable for saving us time and lost monies with negotiations. My experience is you don’t know what you don’t know, but Karyn does!!!

One review will not do Karyn justice - she is efficient, knowledgeable, proactive and understanding.

Right from the beginning she advised me on the whole leasing and contract stages, helping me to get a better deal. During the build stage she dealt with everything for me, so I didn't have to chase anything and alleviated all the stress. Even after we were complete, Karyn helped fix the extra little things that came up.

I cannot recommend her enough, and will not attempt another without engaging her services from start to finish.
Karyn will save you money, pre-empt problems and have solutions before it happens, and deliver on time.

I couldn’t recommend Setting up Shop anymore! I was expanding into a second location and after an initial conversation with Karyn I knew that her and Ali were who I needed to bring my vision to life. They went above and beyond, project managing the entire build, helping with lease negotiations, finding the perfect trades and supplies, you name it and they were there to help. Having Karyn and Ali manage my project meant i could focus on my other business and my team. If you’re wanting to expand, refit or anything in between look no further than Karyn and Ali!

Karyn seamlessly project-managed a new build for me over a number of months. I found her to be professional, organised, and excellent communicator. She brought a wealth of knowledge to the project that resulted in a finished build that was beyond my expectations. I could not recommend her more highly!

Karyn is very helpful and very flexible in organising time for inspection. We were looking at getting our very first cafe and wasn't sure where to start and what are the regulations.

With Karyn's help, things are done quite simple. After her inspection, she provided us a detail report. With the detail report, we are able to identify potential hazards and communicate with the detail report to the seller.

In short, Karyn has been a very helpful to us and we strongly recommend her!!

It was a disastrous start for me as a restaurant business owner having received a handover of my two shops with unthinkable mechanical building defects. Karyn and Alison were extremely helpful and played a huge part from the beginning assisting us to gain the best outcome possible. From sourcing the right builders, to obtaining quotes, sharing knowledge, giving advice and anything else related in between, it was evident throughout that they had our best interest at heart for that we are very appreciative. We felt at ease with their guidance in what would had been a more stressful situation and as a client that’s the best we could ask for.

We’ve been opened for about 6 months now and so far so good besides the impacts of Covid. Thank you for getting the ball rolling and the ongoing participation throughout.
