Clearly don't stay open until 6.30pm. This place shuts at 5pm. Even though the open sign is still out at 5.30pm

Loved it..brought great things for my home...

I was given a ticket in the recent massive Thursday lottery draw and I won about $40 on it. I needed to buy nappies and some other basics so I took the ticket into the newsagent upstairs at Paddington Woolies. When he asked what I wanted to do and I asked for the money he said “typical, buy the ticket elsewhere and cash it in here” to which I apologised and told him the ticket was a gift but I needed the money to buy groceries and he told me “yeah sure, whatever” I apologised again but I was so shocked that I burst into tears and he told me to save it for someone who cared. I took the cash and went and stood outside crying and shaking and trying to calm down.

I am so sorry that his small business is suffering because people take the cash from their winnings off of their store but I needed the money to get by not for any other reason and I am really upset and disappointed that I was treated this way. - EDIT I SPOKE WITH THE LOTTERY COMPANY AND IT DOESN'T COST THE NEWSAGENTS ANYTHING TO CASH OUT A TICKET AS THEY ARE REIMBURSED AT THE END OF EACH WEEK.

Old man refused to give me a rightful refund on a damaged book. Has obvious cut from a Stanley Knife, unfortunately I didn’t see it before purchasing. I was polite the entire time, but he wouldn’t give me any eye contact. Told to come back next week to talk to a manager. Useless. Once a store I visited often, now has zero stars.
