Mrs Luu's Vietnamese Canteen

Had always wanted to try one of these but am never this part of town. I'll have to make the effort based on this. A great banh mi - all of the things I look for including crispy carrot, late and ample filling. Price is decent, but there are cheaper alternatives available nearby.

Ah, the curious dance of surrendering to the 9-5 grind. While the weekend weeps with rain, the weekdays boast blue skies. Amidst KPIs, looming deadlines, and the relentless pressure to excel, there emerges a savior: the crispy chicken banh mi, a beacon of hope during lunchtime. It somehow transforms the chaos into a worthwhile endeavor, one delectable bite at a time.

Quality banh mi at a reasonable price. Unlike most places around the Brisbane CBD they do put pate on their rolls as the default (can be excluded on request) - which definitely boosts the flavour of these yummy treats. The banh mi is my go to menu item, but I would also recommend the vermicelli salads. Always look at the small chalk board near the ordering register for any seasonal specials.

Great food and great value! Definitely one of the best viet spots in town if you want a quick lunch meal. The deluxe bowls are my personal fav with different toppings.

Would definitely love for them to switch to recyclable takeaway boxes like most of the other shops now instead of plastic though :(

Mrs Luu's has probably the best Vietnamese in the city. They have rice paper rolls, noodle salads, banh mi and other items on offer. The service is quick and friendly, and the food is tasty. In particular I love how their rice paper rolls have minimal coriander, as most places ruin them with coriander.
