Holborn at Central

Not too sure why this place has so many bad reviews but I have absolutely enjoyed staying here! The river view is so nice and it's a very quiet location. The bed is on the firm side but other than that the room is clean. Will definitely be staying here again

Very clean, very comfortable. Nice view from balcony. Only downside is that there is an oven yet no oven trays are provided and no chopping boards which made it hard to make dinner. Air con was very noisy at night and the air coming out of it made the room smell like pee so couldn't use it. I actually lifted up the carpet and saw pop corn kernels and other bits of food and rubbish stashed under there which I presume was intended to be hidden from guests 😂 (didn't do a very good job). The view of the Ross River was beautiful and we even saw a few crocs pop up every now and then. The keys and scanner we received were cracked, but still worked otherwise. Pool was huge and great. The spa could've been heated but oh well. Just across the road is BBC cinemas and hogs breath cafe and more! Beautiful area and we're even considering relocating to this area. Thank you for the great stay and I hope you can use the cons to make this place even better for future guests 🎉

Ecstatic morning views from Holborn hotel/ apartments on a clear morning 🌅 overlooking city lights, the cowboy's stadium on the far left, and the high tide in Ross River and bikeway.
The apartment is spacious and was clean and tidy upon arrival so we happily extended our stay.
Compliments from us and will look forward to staying in of the Direct hotels in Townsville soon.

Lovely and a good price too I loved how I was to get a 1 bedroom apartment so I could still cook meals instead of eating out
