The Robert Towns

This place is great. Quality budget motel in a good location with friendly people, beautiful pool, bbq area and comfortable, clean rooms that have everything you need. Nothing to complain about. The motel managment does a great job running this place and keeping prices at an affordable rate. Every stay here has been smooth and enjoyable and the staff have always been incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Enjoyed my stay alot.All staff friendly and helpful room clean and fresh pool lovely and clear. Dogs where allowed. Would recommend highly.

The pool (and pool area) is amazing. The rooms were clean and well furnished and maintained. The manageress was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for her to make our stay wonderful. There was a lot of parking space. The hotel is very close to all the wonderful things Townsville has to offer. More people should know how amazing this place is.

Excellent place to stay, so close to everything. Management was excellent to deal with. Found them very accommodating and made our stay very enjoyable.
We wanted to stay an extra night and they arranged for us to stay in the same room as our room was already booked for someone else for that night.
We we so happy with the service we received.
Highly recommend Robert Towns a definite place to stay and would highly recommend them and will definitely be back.

We stayed for quite a bit in the Roberts Town. The manager, Kate, was lovely and helpful, got us a great deal and was available for us when we needed her. Great facilities, a nice pool area with solarium and a BBQ.
The room was big, clean and had a kitchenette which made things easier for us. I’m staying with them in the future and giving recommendations to my friends as well. 10/10

From our experience, the poor reviews are a tad harsh and in some instances the reviewers appear to have unrealistic expectations.
We found our room to be clean, functional and with a comfortable bed 🛏. The aircon was effective and not noisy. The bar fridge was on the small side but big enough to accommodate a days supply of food and drink.
No issues with bogans, fights or noise from the carpark. (We had more instances of those issues at resorts we stayed at in Darwin & Cairns).

So what if your room isn’t made up for you on a daily basis. All you have to do is put in a request at reception.

The Motel has a New Manager, who was friendly, efficient and for whom, nothing was too much effort or trouble.

The 🥘 Restaurant/Bar🍹has been closed for renovations and is due to be reopened soon.
Lots of maintenance being conducted during the day.

The pool area is great, with two pools and a BBQ area.

It is not a Resort, so should not be compared to one. It is an older style Motel, which for its age is still in good condition and the room maintenance will only enhance it.

Centrally located to the Strand, the CBD and close to Castle Rock it does represent excellent 💶 ‘Value for Money’.

Loved our stay at the Robert Towns, staff were so helpful & friendly, room had everything we needed with a brilliant view & perfectly located to the Strand, gardens, shops everything. Great value will definitely be back.

Kylie and Travis were absolutely amazing during our stay at Roberts Town. They were always accommodating and nothing was ever to much to ask. Rooms were tidy and clean. Would highly recommend staying at this motel.

I surprised my hubby for his birthday with a night stay and dinner. It was so easy to book staff were so friendly and helpful. We had the best night, dinner was amazing and we had a night swim in the pool it was super romantic. The room was beautiful and had everything we needed.It's great that the Comfort Inn is so close to everything. It was lovely to meet the cleaning staff as we were leaving they were funny and nice. The old boy had a awesome birthday thanks.

I honestly cannot thank the lovely lady at reception enough 💕 Amidst my panic to find a dry place to sleep after my camper sprung a leak in the rain... I didn't catch her name! But such wonderful customer service and did everything to make sure me and my dog had a place to stay for the night. Beautiful rooms too, very clean and tidy. I also want to apologise to the lady at reception for the rather emotional and panicked state I was in 😂😂 thank you again! And highly recommend this place to stay!

Great place to stay near cbd. Could walk to what we needed. Friendly staff. Refreshing pool, clean tidy room. Easy to park our car. Bbq

Clean. quiet, comfortable and cost-effective. A pleasant overnight stay if you need to spend a night or two in Townsville. We’ve been there before, we’ll be there again.

Rooms are lovely and the price was very reasonable. My trailer was accommodated with no fuss, even though I just turned up on the day requesting a room.

To top it all of, my trailer was unhitched and pushed into the parking space and hitched back to my car when I left, without me even asking for help. I really appreciated the help as a female travelling on my own.

I would recommend this motel to anyone and will be using them again if I am ever in Townsville again.

Perfect place for our small dog and situated in a good area of Townsville for our stay with medical visits. Lovely swimming pool facilities. Good price nothing fancy. Kept clean and tidy which was good. Would stay again.

This hotel was fantastic hotel, had an excellent stay here. The pool was beautiful and clean and the rooms were nice and quiet with comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable of the local area. Will stay here again.

Water pipes clanged a bit just got to get flow going , reasonable priced owner quiet friendly. Would definitely go back !
