Did a reef dive at Bait Reef with these guys and it was AMAZING! Their mooring out there is inside the reef which keeps it protected even in crummy weather. They also don’t take nearly as many people out to the site as the Cruise Whitsundays group (pontoon lodge out on Hardy Reef) so its much more relaxed and you don’t feel the constant upsell of other activities for the 90 minute ride out to the reef.

Staff was amazing... Matt, Gary, Thomas... everyone... really enjoyed their friendliness, hospitality, and professionalism!

If you’re looking for a phenomenal dive group, I can’t recommend them enough!

Our day trip to the outer reef with Explore was wonderful! The crew on board were exceptional and made our day one to remember. Peyton especially went far beyond what was required to make our experience great! Will definitely use this company again. Love the professional yet fun approach!

3 tours and each had excellent staff who were absolutely amazing. Best tour boats we have been on. Quality of service, knowledge and friendliness was impeccable. Want a great tour go with Explore Hamilton Island.

To get more reviews of the same company look at explore group - Hamilton. We were picked up in Shute Harbour and then the boat stopped in Hamilton island to get the majority of the passengers. From Airlie beach, it’s about 3-3.5 hours each way to the reef. Lots of boating for short amount of snorkeling, but that’s the only way it’s possible if you want to see the reef from Airlie beach. Cairns is a lot closer to the reef. The boat was amazing and the food was small buffet style with veggie and meat options. Given morning sweets, lunch, and afternoon snack and all was quite good.. Crew were friendly. Reef was decent. Sailed past white haven beach.

Amazing group, especially because the crew is 100% dedicated to the tours... I started off quite disappointed because we couldn’t head off to the Great Barrier Reef due to weather conditions but they took us snorkelling to some amazing spots where the coral was just sooo colorful and diverse (I hear was better than Great Barrier!). The crew was so friendly and helpful and were just so passionate, I was really happy to stay on! 100% recommend and when I come back one day to go and see the Great Barrier, I will go with them!!! Well done team!!!

Great team and very good snorkeling. I felt very comfortable in the ocean and the view of the reef was amazing, best I've done in Australia do far.

We booked the night before at 5.40pm through a travel agent at airlie because explores online system said it is still available. We received a confirmation email and then arrived the next morning at 6.45am (email said boat was leaving 7.15am from Shute Harbour). It got to 7am and there was was no one around, so I started calling the explore office, everyone said my booking was confirmed and someone should be there to collect us. I called 4 times and then finally it was 7.45am and someone called me back to say the boat actually left at 6.30am because we didn't think anyone was coming to this port so we left early.

I understand we booked later in the day. Please update your system if you don't allow bookings after a certain time. It also should not take 45minutes of calling to find out the boat had left without us. I've travelled all over Australia and the world and this has never happened to me before.

Extremely disappointed to book a full day snorkeling tour with the family on my daughters birthday for them to call the morning before to advise they had double booked and they had to unfortunately cancel our day. Not to mention we then had to chase for a refund of our money. Extremely disappointing
