Castle Motor Lodge Motel

As a mine/site worker, after a 12-hour shift, we are all looking forward to have a couple of beers, plate of food, and a good night rest. Well, you can get all of that at the Castle Motor Lodge Motel.

Their food is well prepared and has good taste. Their rooms are always clean, and the beds are comfortable. On the other end, if you have had enough of a hot summer day, you can enjoy their large swimming pool. What a life!

The staff at the motel are always friendly and helpful. I recommend this motel. They are affordable and well located.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. We stayed on two consecutive nights but didn't book together therefore we saw two different rooms. In one, the TV remote wasn't working (which we could have had fixed but chose not to) but that is the only thing we could fault. The service was outstanding. We ate un the restaurant on the second night. The service was A1. Nothing could be faulted. The wait staff were conversational, friendly, attentive without being over the top. I chose the seafood crepe... one of the best I have ever tastes! The prawns were fresh and the scallops were to die for! Would 100% recommend the stay and the meal. After a really difficult couple of days, it was a real treat to stay here. The people make the place 🙂

So glad we found The Castle to stay in overnight while driving Brisbane to Cairns. Super friendly and welcoming. Immaculate room. Spacious and well-appointed. Quality tea, real milk. Great value. Would definitely recommend.

I attended the motel for a birthday dinner with family and friends. The food was delicious and the ambiance exemplary.

Our first ever stay and we were greeted by stand in/relief managers!! To say perfect is an understatement!! Greeted with all round smiles and welcome hospitality. Room was comfortable and CLEAN! Now the restaurant and bar exceeded 5 stars!! We ordered 3 entrees for the entire meal and were full and the quality was impeccable.
Asked for late checkout, and yes!! We would stay here again.

Staff are friendly and stay was very comfortable, when the restaurant is open the meals are very good. They also have a good breakfast bar. If we come back up this way we'll stay again.

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst being Caught in floods. Good clean rooms bathrooms have been renovated and great service. Hosts couldn’t be more accommodating. 10/10

The place looks

dated. A solid brick finish means noise between rooms does not exist. The rooms are lovely and service is daily and spot on. The restaurant has a fantastic menu and chef.... expect one of the best meals on offer in bowen.

What a fantastic experience. I was staying with my daughter who had just had a baby and wanted to give her and her husband some time together. I booked in one night at the Castle Lodge...staff were so friendly, room was clean and great value for money...and as a bonus, they rang and asked if I would like to spend the day here as the cleaning staff weren't coming in, at no extra cost. How very thoughtful. Nothing but praise for them. Thank you

Couldn’t fault the place for my stopover. Clean room, friendly and helpful staff & good food accompanied by a few beers.

I have always loved castles and medieval stuff, but places have a tendency to go too cheesy or smack you in the face with it. This place looks like a fort, has suits of armour and all that jazz but in the end it is a very modern, comfortable and quiet place to stay, and the food is excellent. I recommend the beef cheeks!

Should have a 5 star rating. Room is clean and tidy, Restaurant great menu, management and staff very friendly and helpful reasonable prices also and a fantastic theme for the Motel.

Great hospitality and even better meals... have tried most of their meals and no such things as a bad one. Great accommodation at reasonable rates... Stay Here often for work and always a pleasure

The hospitality is only outmatched by the quality of the meals at the resturaunt attached.
We have travelled 1500kms and several motels so far this stay is a solid highlight of our trip. Do rate 10/10.
