We had a fan bearing issue which also damaged our fan belt. As we were passing through Isa, he was able to provide a solution on the spot. After about an hour we were mobile and looking around the city.

From the very beginning, this workshop welcomed us warmly. They were determined to find a solution to our problem and stayed attentive to our needs throughout. We were passing through Mount Isa and got stuck due to a critical part issue. Even though that part arrived 10 days later and another shop failed to deliver on their promises, this workshop found us a slot and went above and beyond to fix the issue, allowing us to continue our journey.

For two consecutive days, they faced challenges with our vehicle and continued to make space for us. It's not worth looking elsewhere, as these mechanics are truly the best in Mount Isa. Their team is exceptionally friendly, from the outset, they listened carefully to our car issues, even took a ride with it to the highway to diagnose the root problem. Additionally, their prices are very reasonable, and the staff is incredibly friendly. An absolute gem!

We encountered a mechanical problem with our 4x4 late afternoon After visiting multiple mechanics we were recommended Bears Mechanical. After a quick call Bear offered to check over the vehicle straight away. The next morning Bear and his team fixed our truck and we were back on the road. Brilliant service. My dog had chewed apart my wheel speed sensor wiring. Speaking to the reception at the Toyota dealership in town, they refused to be of any help and could not book my car in for another month. I called Bear's Mechanical and they were able to get my car in on the same day and repair the fault for a fraction of the cost.

Snapped a shock absorber coming back from Lawn Hill, rang Bear’s at 4:45pm on a Thursday arvo (thinking our chance of getting the car in soon was slim). By midday the next day they had 2x brand new shock absorbers on the car for us, saved our butts and got us out of trouble quick 🙌🏻 absolute legends!

These guys went above and beyond to help us when our engine blew up on our trip around Australia. They were open and honest with everything to do with the car, gave us lots of ideas and options on what to do, and even talked us out of doing work on our car which could have cost thousands with no guarantee of a good outcome. Despite clearly being busy they even rang around to try to help us scrap the car even though there was no benefit to them. I can't recommend them highly enough and am so thankful we went to them.

We rang Bear’s 8.00am with a noise in our front end of our corolla and by 12.00 we were on our way, they found the problem sorted the part and fix the car, and even drop us off and pick us up from town. Excellent friendly service from both the mechanic and the girl at the from deck, I only wish I live close to use Bear’s as my main mechanic all the time.

Great reliable service. Came to Bears with a suspected wheel bearing problem on our camper. Dropped it off early and by lunch had a phone call saying all checked with no fault found. No charge and safely on our way.

The entire town was super busy and in most places the earliest availabilities were next week. So we’re Bear’s. Sam knew I was stressed and traveling behind schedule, slotted me in for a same day check up. Jim was extremely thorough, very patient in explaining what’s going on and potential solutions. Had the transmissions serviced and replaced a few other things. As a solo traveler, I’m always grateful meeting a team like this. LEGENDS

Thanks to the team for fixing my Camry, you saved my way up North and probably my life too! They were super busy but still accepted to inspect my car and fixed it the next day.

I met Bear the other day while passing through Mt. Isa and my vehicle started to surge along the way. He checked the fuel pump and took it for a drive. As luck would have it, it worked just fine. Nothing to fix he said, so he refused payment despite taking time out of his day to help.

Later I took the vehicle down the road hit a bump, and it happened again. I gave him a ring and he said no problem, bring it in, despite it being at knock off time. Said he bet it was a faulty connection.

Well you know what it was, the MAF sensor connection was loose and it was fixed at the side of the road with some tape. Another call to Bear and the gent wished us a good rest of the trip.

It’s was a pleasure to meet somebody as genuinely helpful, pleasant, and honest as Bear. My hat off and thanks to you, mate!

The best mechanic in North Qld, and if he thought he had overcharged you $1 he couldn’t sleep at night. So refreshing you can take your car to a mechanic and know you won’t get ripped off. He treats all his customers as friends.

Passing through town in busy period. Needed brake pads replaced on rear of Landcruiser. None else could fit me in but the lady said bring it in and we will do it and call you when its done. Good. I arrived, an enthusiastic young fella met me and said he will do it there and then. Sure enough, jack under, wheels off, callipers out, brake pads in, all done in 30 minutes. Firstly, thanks to Bear for fitting me in, secondly, thanks to the apprentice who was just so bloody fast and thorough and efficient.

Came to our house quickly on a Sunday morning when we had a car emergency, sourced the part and fitted in the very next morning which saved our holiday plans, did it for a great price and was very honest and up front, would highly recommend :)
