Oaks Townsville Metropole Hotel

We had a wonderful afternoon for a family celebration, the renovations have been very well done and everyone was impressed, also a lovely relaxing outlook over the river. Only negative is the food probably could have been a bit better.

Great selection of wines, beers, foods. Nice friendly staff. Didn't get to see the rooms, but if the bar and eatery are and indication, they would be great too.

I've stayed here a few times for work and have enjoyed each stay. Different room different angle.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay at Oaks Metropole hotel. The room was well presented, clean, had everything you might need and perfect location for us as we were heading to the casino that night. The lady that checked us in was very welcoming and friendly. I made mention in the booking notes that this booking was a surprise for my partner (for his birthday) and I asked if we could get a room with a nice view. I want to say a massive thank you to whoever put us in the city view room on the 10th floor, the view was to die for and certainly exceeded our expectations! Overall, we would recommend this hotel to others and will certainly stay here again in the future!

We had the 2brm apartment. We were called the day before to confirm the configuration of the 2nd bedroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, spacious and serviced daily. There are amazing views and very cold aircon for those hot days and nights. It's centrally located with a vast selection of restaurants within a very short walk.

Room was clean and cool when we arrived. Had kitchen and washing facilities. Beds were comfortable. Morning view was beautiful.

We loved our stay here - awesome views - so close to most things. Jasmine on the desk was excellent. Easy walk to town and all the restaurants and brewery. Great coffee shop around the corner - Jamie's Joint.

Our three week stay here was excellent. We had a pleasant surprise when we checked in. We were upgraded to City Scape Studio which had the beautiful view of Ross River from the balcony. The sunset was amazingly beautiful. The room was clean and the beds were firm and comfortable. We had a problem of leaking washing machine which was replaced immediately after we made a complaint the front desk. The reception staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Special mention should go to Sian who was very helpful and efficient. The cleaning staff were cooperative and efficient. The location was very good which was close to bars and restaurants. In view of my membership in Discovery, we got 24 hour WiFi . The speed was moderate. Our stay in Oaks Metropole was on of the best. We would always cherish our stay here. The only disappointment was that there was hardly any vegetarian dishes in the restaurant menu.

We were heading north and stayed one night in Townsville to break the long driving. The room with city/river view we had at Oaks Townsville Metropole Hotel was spotless, the room and the bathroom were spacious. The facilities (kitchenette, TV, AC, etc) were good. We really enjoyed our stay at Oaks Townsville Metropole hotel. Unfortunately road closures/flooding made us change our plan to stay another night at the hotel. The Hotel Management was very helpful with our situation.

the staff are amazing. I stuffed up the dates on my booking and they got everything sorted, then rhe next day we had car trouble and had to stay an unplanned night. they helped once again. the room was huge with balcony full size fridge, microwave, washer dryer, big bath room. best service I've ever experienced.

Very comfortable bed, easy to control AC, plenty of power points, good iron and okay ironing board, good location although at end of Palmer St strip so some walking involved. Clean modern room.

Oaks metropole was a fantastic stay for my partner and I. We originally were staying elsewhere, but it fell through quite late in the afternoon. I booked a room at the oaks online with a booking website and received immediate confirmation, and we were in our room 10 minutes later. The room itself was fantastic, impeccably clean, so many included in-room facilities, and incredible value for money. We will be returning again! Highly recommend!

I've stayed here many times and have not had a bad experience. The staff are friendly and attentive, the rooms are spotless clean and very quiet. Walking distance to many restaurants and pubs and only minutes from the city centre.

I am not one to review lol but when I do, I’ll do it. Best crew! From reception to room service. But I want to pin this rating more on the client service (reception team) They are a great friendly team and are willing to go extra mile to ensure the best of their customers. 81 Palmer street crew keep it up.

Very good value for money. My mate and I were very happy with the size room and it was very spacious and comfortable. Good food. And also good choice of restaurants on the same street. Also very picturesque. Recommend it. I'll be staying here again.

Room was excellent. Very clean. Great bed. Close to ferry. In room washing machine a bonus.

10 star stay. Undercover off street parking, friendly staff, clean and roomy. Big beds an all amenties. Had a room with a veiw and a big fridge. Quiet and comfortable. Definatly would stay here again. Cant rate this Oaks Hotel high enough.
