The friendliest staff that always go out of their way to assist us. They alway manage to squeeze us in if it is urgent (had plenty of urgent visits). Dr Sammy is an amazing vet who clearly does her job for the love of animals. Amazing and could never recommend a veterinary surgery as highly at this place.

I honestly couldn’t recommend Melton Family Vets enough, I took my 14 year old cat here for a scale, clean and extractions after putting it off for longer than I should have due to the high cost of other clinics and fear of putting my elderly cat under anaesthetic. They were so kind and put my mind at ease, booked her in for bloods straight away and within days she had the procedure done and she is happier than ever! I’m so thankful for Sammi and Robbie for taking care of my baby!

I have used Melton Family Vet to have my dogs nails clipped today. My big boy is normally very anxious, and does not handle being around strangers at all.
I called the vet and spoke to Robbi, who worked out a contingency plan for me to ensure there would be no other dogs when we walked in etc etc.
Robbi was kind enough to come out to the car when they were ready for Thunder.
When we walked into the clinic it was a calm, very clean environment.
Thunder behaved like going to the vet was his favourite thing to do in the world.
The vets and assistants had Thunder under sedation with minimum fuss, we even managed to get a muzzle on him.
Within a couple of minutes Thunder was sedated and taken to the clinical area where we left him for a couple of hours.
Thunders nails were so incredibly long due to former stressful events, but the team did not make me feel guilty at all about this.
When I picked Thunder up I nearly cried.
I have not seen a vet be able to get his nails that short before, I’ve always been told by previous vets they could only take a couple of millimeters off, and to come back in 6 weeks, which is a $300-$400 procedure due to his size. It is also a significant risk to my dog due to his age.
I have zero hesitation in recommending this vet, and we will be regular visitors. Thank you so much, you have no idea how much your service, compassion, and understanding was appreciated for something as “simple” as a nail trim.

We cannot recommend Melton Family Vets enough! We take all our 3 dogs and always have an amazing experience.
Dr Sammi is very friendly and not afraid to actually touch our dogs (German Shepherds) which we've have experienced at previous vets.
We are frequent flyers with our old boy which they take very good care of each time they see him.
Absolutely wouldn't go anywhere else and couldn't recommend a more friendly and welcoming Team.

Attending any vet has always been a stressful experience for me as one of my cats get extremely aggressive each time. But they handled her so well and made me feel at ease. So naturally I took my new puppy. I can tell how much they love animals and how knowledgeable they are. My puppy is now 6 months old and she loves going into the vet and get a lot of attention. I always get great advice for both cats and dogs. I'm glad I found this vet for sure!

Amazing vet the staff here are true animal lovers I took my dog here for a emergency as she was crushed by a caravan and these guys got in touch straight away with a specialist one of the best in the world to review my dogs xray results. The fees are naturally expensive but still cheaper then most vets I paid $1,257 for them to put my dog to sleep and do full xrays and ultrasound and blood work and pain management for 3 months and to me that's a very cheap price compared to the vet in werribee they tried to charge me $7000 for the same stuff.

Wonderful local vet. I haven’t experience enough either the vet to say whether they are also good in case of emergency but I would say, good to book and friendly staffs

Dating back to the first time I called Melton Family Vets, their friendly receptionist was so helpful to book us in accordingly wether it be urgent or routine.
One specific time my cat Daisy needed to be seen after a long weekend she developed an abscess and everywhere was closed (given the surgery was extremely busy) he was nice enough to make it possible for us bring her in and Dr Sammi and her awesome nurse treated my beloved Daisy which saved me a very expensive trip to the animal hospital.
Over a few weeks she was checked over thoroughly and I have never felt more welcome (even having to bring along my 3 children), Daisy has since made a full recovery and I know for sure you won’t ever see me in any another vet clinic again, I have finally found somewhere that’s not just looking for $$$! Highly recommend vet clinic.

I was quoted though out all my appointments so there was no bill-shock at the end.

I was sceptical at first with going to a new vet but Sammi is amazing. The staff are fantastic. They are so accommodating & fit you in when needed.

I have been to all of Melton's clinics in my 22 years in Melton. Including some who are no longer operating. MFV is as it's name suggets. It is a family that treat you and your babies like family. They do not commercialise my childrens health and wellbeing by trying to add additional un-needed services or products. Most times my children are seen at the appointment time. However, there are times when I am waiting extended periods after my appointment. This is due to unexpected emergencies that require urgent treatment. Although I somewhat inconvenienced, I am comforted to know that if one of my children requires emergency support that they would be prioritised. Sammi, Robbie and the team have an unwavering passion to help "all creatures great and small. You are very much appreciated by my family.
To address the price reviews. I have been engaged with vets for nearly 40 years. MFV do have a competitive price for services and medications, unlike the commercial vet clinics available. I had an experience where I had to take one of my babies to a hospital in North Melbourne. After a 3 hour wait, even though they received details of his critical condition and he could hardly walk, they finally admitted him. He was there for 3 days and they never found a diagnosis. All I took home was a $8,500 bill and his ashes. No surgery or detailed scans were performed. I go to MFV because of the quality of care and secondly the price. I wish they were a hospital (24 x 7). I know I would have had a better chance of bringing my beautiful Sampson home. Completely satisfied with the charges incurred for my childrens wellbeing. He is the gorgeous big white one. Also, having pet insurance is a better investment than human private insurance.

Dr Kaur sees all our pets and we trust her entirely with her knowledge and recommendations. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Very helpful and thorough. I took my car for a check up and about an allergic reaction she was having. 3 days of medication and she is all better. Being new to the area I wasn't sure on a vet for my pets but Melton Family Vets. Are exceptional I highly recommend!

My cat has suffered with chronic cystitis for about 5 years now, since changing to Melton Family Vets just over 12 months ago our cat has not had a flare up. Dr Sammy started her on a regime of a daily meditation and a monthly injection. To say I’m grateful is an understatement. My beautiful Cleo is much healthier and happier. I highly recommend Melton Family Vets.

We first stumbled upon Melton Family Vets when we had a scare with our dog. We were really distressed and from the moment we walked in the door we felt at home and in the best care. We have been going there ever since.
The staff are lovely and the service feels personal, not like you are a number. They are knowledgeable, passionate about their work, explain things thoroughly and go out of their way to try and fit you in no matter how busy they are
Even our anxious golden retriever has got used to their friendly faces.
