Beautiful place to visit if you're in the Fitzroy Gardens or near Captain Cook's cottage. Seasonal displays of flowers and shrubs are tastefully arranged in a hot house. There's always a wonderful mixture of colours and textures. Hanging baskets, small bridges and ponds are included in the conservatory. There's a fountain outside with a bronze statue of Diana the Huntress too.

Wonderful and peaceful as always.
I used to go here over 30 years ago and the place is timeless.

Such a magical experience. We went here for an anniversary stroll and it was quite romantic. Also nice for individuals to sit and relax. Beautiful variety of flowers with lovely scents.
We were also lucky to catch some live music playing from the fountain outside. A lovely, peaceful place.

A beautiful display of incredible indoor flower displays. Walk in at either end of this historic Melbourne building into a lush paradise. Lovingly tended to, flowers/plants are named, and there is even a lovely area in the middle for a special selfie or social media post to be recorded by visitors. You can go through in 5 mins or spend a period of time there. Bench seating inside and outside. Entry is free.

This is a great spot to sit and relax on any day, enjoying the quiet greenhouse atmosphere. The flower displays change throughout the year so you can always find something new to appreciate. It’s a great spot for photography of all types.

Visit this freebie even if you have no time to walk all around the gardens. Close to Cook's Cottage & Visitor's Centre. Most tourist buses offload here. Walk through this glassed Spanish Adobe building with pretty fountains at either end. The plant displays & arrangements are changed every season. It is in the Landsdowne St- Wellington Parade busiest quarter of Fitzroy Gardens. You will be able to navigate with pram or wheelchair. Pretty small - won't take long. There are seating inside if you wish to linger though the selfie takers will always be buzzing around!

The food was amazing as the crispy pork belly was so tender and crispy. The oysters and prawns were very fresh. A great variety of food.

My son kept coughing to the point where he was sick. I was so appreciative the staff was so helpful and made it all so smooth. I could not fault the service of the staff at all. Helpful, polite, friendly and efficient.

The plants and flowers are lovely. There are a couple of benches to rest for a bit if it's not too crowded (tourists by bus loads).

A delicious meal with lovely staff. We indulged in the 2 hour Premium drinks package, which was about 3-4 wines each. We were quite happy with the experience.

It’s spring time, which means The Conservatory is filled with flowers! I recommend giving it a visit while the flowers are at full bloom!

This place was magic if you’re a plant lover. Free to walk through and felt like a toasty oasis in freezing Melbourne with plants from all over. It’s only small but you could spend half an hour wandering through. I’ll go again.

* Hydrangeas and fuchsias bloom from Nov-Feb
* Tuberous Begonias and Gloxinias from Feb-Apr
* Tropical plants and Poinsettias from Apr-Jul
* Cinerarias and Cyclamens from Jul-Sep, and
* Calceolaria and Schizanthus from Sep-Nov

It's open daily from 9am to 5:30pm and free to enter. Definitely worth a visit.
