Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre Car Park

I went to the hospital as a part of Precheck up for stem cell donation. The staff and doctors were more receptive. The waiting time was minimal. We booked the appointment 3 weeks before. The bmt Cordinator of the hospital oriented me well about the transplant, donation . They asked me to clear my doubts also. The facilities of the hospital and the infrastructure were appreciable where I didn't get a thought that i am in a hospital. I had a pleasant experience.

Good parking under the hospital. Very well run with the vacancies readily able to be seen. Usual city prices for parking, but if you are a patient and have a pension card take your ticket to the cashier on the 2nd floor and they will mark it for you, so your parking is $10.00 no matter how long you are there

Peter Mac cancer hospital have the most friendly and helpful staff, also the best of treatments and the cleanest hospital ever.

Wonderful and modern hospital with caring, professional nurses and doctors. Doesn't feel like a hospital.

A great location, either as a patient or a visitor.

Easy access

The hospital is indeed stunning but really they should have single rooms and not shared specially you are not there for anything run of the mill. Also they have mixed and being old fashioned didn't like sharing with a male. Also the rooms have no corners only curves so you lose alot of valuable space for manoeuvrings.
Staff were exceptional. Had to stay a month as there were complications.
The stoma nurses looked after me at all times A big thank you to those girls who work so hard and never a complaint and always have time to talk it's a pity the general nursing isn't always consistent and a high turnover but from all that time only one was a bit narky,must have been a bad day for her. I couldn't have been treated better.
You can organise a dog visit and I had a French bulldog named Otto who I could have kidnapped to bring home.
Overall quality over looks.

350 spaces for parking and cheap rates compare to inner CBD, 35 dollars max charge per day. Well organized carpark with Staff onsite and clean. Beware of parking Illegally such as drop of zone 5 mins, you will get Violation warning(which I got 1).

I've been a patient of Peter Mac for almost 10 years and I have always been treated with the utmost level of care. The old hospital was ordinary but the care outstanding. The new Grattan street hospital is absolutely brilliant and a huge upgrade from the old. Warm and welcoming just what you need if you find yourself a Peter Mac patient.
