Simon and Anyetta. Outstanding to deal with, absolutely love our house . the care , attention and preparedness to correct any issues faced during the build was unreal . Hayden the supervisor , was accessible at all times , allowed us to do things during the build most other builders wouldn’t but beyond all else , communication was wonderful.

Have recommended 2x family members already and would build with these superstars again.

Simon and his team at G.J.Gardner Homes took over the building of our home after our builder went into liquidation. We couldn't ask for better people to look after us. Kind, professional people that finished our home in Rockbank beautifully. We are so happy and I can't rate Simon, Bree and Anyetta highly enough. Hayden is awesome and kept us up to date with the build. Thank you for picking up the pieces and helping us restart the dream of finishing this home.

Building a house for us was an absolute nightmare. We had our first builder (Snowdon) go into liquidation on us before they even started the build, and a second builder (Porter Davis) also went bankrupt during the build.
Choosing our third builder was unsettling especially when you heard news of builder liquidation every other week. There were a lot of builders taking advantage of vulnerable people from the Porter Davis collapse and would tell you undeliverable promises to win you as a client. One of these builders we almost considered went into administration a few months later.

One Sunday when we were still indecisive on what to do, we met Simon from G.J. Gardner - Melbourne North West at one of there display homes. He didn’t make any promises to us, he basically told us that if he was in the same situation, this would be the first steps he would take. At the start we didn’t know he was the Director filling in for one of his staff members until we left. But we felt finally we have met someone who has given us some decent advice, so we wanted to get a quotation to complete our build.

It took a little bit longer than other builders to get a quotation, but this because they were one of the only builders that went to our site and conducted a proper inspection before giving us a quotation, so we didn’t have any unexpected variations during the build. Most other builders gave us a quotation without going to site and based it off our previous builder’s contract.

The Administration team Anyeta, Sophia, Bree & Lucy have been amazing the gave us so a lot of confidence and with all their hard work in the background. I asked Anyeta will she send us an invoice for the remaining of the 5 percent deposit on signing the contract. She responded to me that they will need to apply for their domestic building insurance (DBI) first as it’s not legal for them to take until they have that insurance. This gave us even more confidence that they were running their business in a proper and professional manner, so we decided to sign their contract.

Our construction of our house as taken about 4 months, taking over from frame stage. This has been an absolute blessing for us as we got to handover quicker than expected. The construction progress never felt like it was on pause, we got weekly updates and regular inspections when requested and the quality was great. A big shout out to our site supervisor Hayden who made all of this happen.

The construction industry is very vulnerable post Covid, due to inflation and supply costs. If you are reading this and considering in building, please come and see this amazing team at G.J. Gardner Homes – Melbourne North West. They are professional, honest, provide great quality and will get your house built in a reasonable time frame. Pick the right builder from the start, don’t go through the same mistakes as we took. Highly recommend going and have a chat with them if you are considering building. If we ever decided to build again, they would be the first builder we approach.
