Swan Valley Visitor Centre

Great place to know more about the local history. The staff at the visitor centre were very friendly and helpful. My son couldn't have a visitor coin as this Visitor Centre does not have one (could consider?) but the staff gave him a sticker sheet to cheer him up.

In the same building is sort of a museum (free entry) on the history of Guildford town, how it developed, the people who shaped the town as well as some good personal account of their life. Recommended!

The staff working there are amazing! We arrived at 10AM on New Year's Day and they helped us to guide our tour and checked opening hours for some of our destinations. Soooo Helpful!

We were initially unsure about dropping by the Swan Valley Visitor Centre. After all, we thought we knew exactly where to go, thanks to our fancy travel apps. Well we were wrong! And we are so glad that we decided to do things the good old-fashioned way!
Ms Marilla from the SVVC was brimming with positive energy and was all smiles! Above all, her knowledge of Swan Valley - all its nooks and crannies, big and small joints - was amazing.
Marilla gave us lots of helpful tips which were not found on our fancy travel apps, and even if they were, they could not have come across as warmly and kindly as Marilla in her wonderful IRL way.
I strongly recommend that you swing by SVVC before your next trip to Swan Valley. Say a big G'DAY to Marilla for us!

Stopped here on a lovely Saturday Morning. The ladies were so polite and lovely. Went through and saw the exhibition, my 7yo loved it, read every little signage and tried to absorb as much history as possible. Her favourite part was the wedding dresses, school bell and the small cottage outback. Amazing to see how much life has evolved. Will be back to do the Gaol(jail) tour next 😊

Great visitor centre with the small exhibition about Guildford. Friendly staff, there's information about Swan Valley on one side and the rest of WA on the other side.

We walked into the visitor centre today and were greeted by possibly the friendliest customer service person I have met. She was able to point us in the right direction for an amazing morning coffee experience, fabulous history walk and a scrumptious lunch. She checked opening and closing times for us to ensure we had the correct information. I wish all visitor centres had staff like this. It made my day.

I usually find visitor Centres boring and avoid them if I can. We came into this one on a whim. Caroline (pronounced 'Karol -Lean"), on staff this day was absolutely charming. Very helpful, very relevant. You must stop in and say hello.

Visited the visitor centre today and the info we received was fantastic. The map with highlighted areas a friendly lady, had suggested were spot on. So glad we went there first
