The Redhead Bakehouse

I'm not long a local & I discovered The Redhead Bakery about 6 mths ago. I've lived in Sydney & Melbourne & I've travelled. The coffee is world class & I'll often drive out of my way just for it. No doubt the best I've tried anywhere in The Hunter. Recently I couldn't resist & I tried their pie. The pastry, flavour & meat volume was the best I've had in a very long time. Not to mention their other pastries. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, professional and just has a really nice energy. It has a family feel which is nice. This business could take on any other in Sydney & Melbourne & show them how its done...

Cheese and bacon sausage roll. Outstanding. Not too greasy. Plenty of cheese and bacon. Pastry fresh. Cheese and bacon roll great too but ate it before I took a photo….Great staff. Will be back when next in Newcastle. Well priced as well.

I just ate the steak and cheese pie from the Redhead Bake house and WOW talk about being amazing! I think it was the best pie I have ever had! Absolutely fantastic! I can’t wait
to try the rest of what they have to offer! Check them out! You won’t regret it!

Lovely, friendly staff. Consistently good food. Great coffee. One other comment...what about paper bags for the sourdough. We don't need (or want) plastic and the plastic bread bag clips are unnecessary.

Love the steak, cheese and jalapeno pie, highly recommend.

More in the future. But I can say. Everything they make is an 80% plus. Depending on your taste. Byeee. 🤗 😘 🤗 😘

Bloody beautiful Pies, the sausage rolls are a treat! The staff are outstanding, K-dog (big bosses gazza daughter) is simply flawless at the Bake house, running the show. I highly recommend the bake house. If possible i would give 10 stars.

Came here right as they opened before we went to see a sunrise, the coffee and chai was amazing and the sausage roll definitely warmed us up. Although simple, I won't forget about this experience!

Always a great range of pies, baked goods and breads. Staff are friendly and helpful - grab a pie and eat it by thr beach for a local experience

One of the best bakers in the world here.. the complex flavour profiles in the fillings are second to none! The pastry again second to none! Thank God for this true traditional bakery of Newcastle hunter NSW !! Traditionao fillings traditional pastry.. traditional recipes.. a true Master Baker i tip my hat to you sir. And ma'am. True Newcastle Baker Legends!

Best pies in town.. try the sweet Chili chicken pie very nice.. so is the carbonara pie! I've heard the bread is nice there too.

Best cheesecake ever. Outstanding pies too. Please please make more Portuguese tarts

Chicken curry pie is awesome nice bread all good buy the bread for drummer fishing and have trouble not trying to eat eat smells amazing

OMG can't rate these guys enough! 5 star is not enough. Their food is amazing! Works pies, mexican pies, sausage rolls.. all highly rated (as is all their foods) but their sweets, caramel tarts to die for, slices, eclairs.. wow! They also do coffee there so you can enjoy a coffee with a sweet of some sort. Staff are beautiful and the owner is so down to earth. Very friendly and always welcoming. Check it out!

Bread out of this world. Drive out of my way to buy their bread. Sour dough is fantastic.

Great cakes and fresh bread. I was in town from Sydney and stopped by this bakery. Got a caramel chocolate swirl cake, it was devine! Light, fluffy and not overtly sweet. Perfection!
