As a newbie to the adult store world, Tom was a great help. Greeted us the moment we stepped foot in the store and was super friendly.

Unfortunately, one of the items I bought had a ripped seam straight out of the box. I came in two days later to get a refund as I wasn't sure about the quality of that particular brand. He helped me exchange it with a different product and put the rest towards a store credit.

I was so scared that I'd be met with "no refunds or exchanges no matter what" but he explained the situation well and I'm now very happy to recommend the toolshed to my friends (:

Never had anything but great service and advice from the guys behind the counter. They know their stuff and give great post sale service if for some reason something goes wrong. Been part of the Sydney scene for decades and that says a lot about how good they are. You don't survive long in this town unless you provide good service and reasonable prices.

Had a very pleasant experience here, only to find out they're moving from this location after 40 years to further up the road soon.
Very much your more LGBT+ focused adult bookstore, which you seeing less and less of anymore.
Staff was helpful, and the sales were nice to see - esp. since it's clearing out merch before they move to their new location.
Worth the time to visit them and at least get your intimate supplies to keep a local store in business.

Excellent customer service - thanks Neil. I was notified by Australia Post my delivery was on its way 20 minutes after I placed it today. No wonder Ive been going back for 10 years. Reliable, trustworthy and friendly.

Best adult products store on Oxford St. I’m biased because I worked here at night for a very long time 🥰. It’s still run by the magnificent Neil (who has been doing it for 4 decades - yes, FOUR). Whichever products you need, either for yourself or for consensual adult-to-another-adult interactions, this is the best place to get them. If you don’t want to be seen in public, everything they sell is also available online.

It was weird but could have been weirder

Google said they close at 1.30am, it's 12.30am and they're not open. Not happy

Appalling! Do not go to this shop. I bought a product for over $50 which disintegrated when I took it home. I returned it within 10 minutes and the staff member was extremely reluctant to give a refund. He then tested it manually and it fell further apart, proving my point, and insisted still that I had used excessive force! Rude, reluctant, then extremely aggressive and argumentative. I will never darken its doors again. When I told him that he said he didn’t want me there again anyway. The worst customer experience I have ever had, anywhere. PERIOD. If he had given my a refund willingly I might have bought a better quality more expensive product. Bye bye Toolshed!

Disgusting behaviour by the shopkeeper, who ignored me and my friends who attended the store as interested customers on Friday evening, even though we were the only ones in the store. While we were looking at packaged products on the wall and discussing prospective purchases, the employee preceded to rudely berate us as we had returned the items back onto their display hooks, but not within a centimetre of the wall, as to his liking. Apparently it would be too much work for him (in the empty store) to come and adjust the angle of the goods by a inch after we had finished, not to mention perhaps offering assistance to try and sell us his products? We were sure to inform him that his attitude and poor service had just lost him a sale or three, which did not seem to phase him. Please, interested customers, do not go to this store, there are better places who are far more welcoming, helpful and appreciative of customers than this one.

Worst customer service experience ever!!! Please please please shop somewhere else where they treat customers in a better way.
I went to this shop on Monday at 4.30 PM and was served by a guy named Tom. He has piercings on his nose with beard (bear type) - he said he was the manager.
I politely asked him a few questions about a product and he argued with me.
Please, spend your money on another shop where they deserve our money!
To the guy who served me - you don't have the skills required in retail/hospitality industry :)
