First Ridge Wines

Visited this on our way out of Mudgee as it was recommended by many locals. It didn’t disappoint, offering Italian wine varieties which are little more different to many of the other wineries. Their tasting is free and is accompanied with some cheese. The service was amazing and the wines tasted great. We will be back!!

I found First Ridge Wines give excellent wines. They are true to their original Italian origin.
All served in their breath taking Cellar Door view.
Wonderful customer service topped it all off.

Will definitely be back for supplies on my next trip.

Great experience today... Wine tasting at its very best with super views . Winery name could also be "First Class"! Tony was brilliant (knowledgeable, thoughtful, sense of humour, timely, etc) and the wines were fantastic - we vote it as our best Cellar experience, of 8, in Mudgee (April 2023). Bought 4 and will be back for more.

A beautiful little cellar door set on the lovely slopes of their vineyard.

This was our favourite winery in Mudgee. The wines are all delicious, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the views are spectacular.

There is no cost for tasting, and you get to sample their full menu. They also bring out complimentary cheese and olives while you taste their wonderful wines!

No need for a booking, they were very accommodating of everyone who turned up and have amble seating inside and out.

Beautiful wines on a wonderfully scenic location. Those red shipping containers provide a wonderful tasting room with the option of having a delicious platter on a Saturday. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about their wines.

Randomly visited but we were very impressed with the staff’s hospitality and great selection of the wines they have. Must visit!

We had a lovely time doing the wine tasting here, and bought a white wine (even though we are not usually white wine drinkers!).

Loved this winery so much. The view was amazing. The owner and Tony made
us feel so welcome and gave us the history of how she got started. Complimentary olives and cheese with your tasting. The wines were delicious, in fact we purchased some wine to bring home with us. This was definitely our favorite winery because of the personal touch.

Very inviting cellar door with Italian varietals made of shipping containers with breathtaking views over the vineyards. Donna took us through the whole tasting with expert remarks regarding the tasting profiles and gave helpful wine and dining combinations. Definitely worth a visit!

We had lovely time tasting First Ridge wines. Jeanette provided the best cellar door service of our day doing cellar doors. The wines are of good quality and priced accordingly. The views over the vineyard is a sight to behold. Would come again!

We had a wonderful wine tasting experience at First Ridge Wines.

Firstly the wine itself is excellent with something for everyone. Their Rosé, whites and Reds have a great range of taste sensations.

Secondly the price is very reasonable for what you get. You walk away feeling like you’ve purchased some wines which will add value when you pull them out with friends and family.

Finally the location, setup and experience are top notch. The staff know their wines, but pair it with practical food suggestions that real people can access, and the view of the vineyards is absolutely spectacular.

Would 100% recommend this be added to your wine tasting tour of the Mudgee region.

Visited First Ridge Wines whilst on a Mudgee trip with friends a few weekends ago and had a wonderful experience! The wine tasting was great, as was the atmosphere and lovely view of the vineyard. The most heartwarming part of my experience however, was the beautiful lady Helen who heard that I was feeling unwell after a long drive on an empty stomach. She was so unbelievably comforting and caring- she checked up on how I was feeling multiple times throughout our tasting and even was kind enough to lend me half of her lunch wrap to eat in hopes that it would settle my stomach. I'm so grateful for her care and thoughtfulness, what a beautiful lady! Thank you Helen! Will be recommending this amazing spot to all friends and family planning a trip to Mudgee.

Great location/views, and great Italian style wines. Well worth the visit.
